Free session update
Today, I offered a free morning session to parents in my new local area here in Texas. I got the leads from adding myself to a local group on Facebook. The parents unfortunately didn’t show. That’s didn’t stop my son and I from putting in work. We got conditioning and skill work in. Back to the drawing board!

@Blair Bass I typically do like 5-10 bucks a day for a week. Once I got 10 kids, I took it off. From there it was word of mouth

@Daniel Cooper summer was on the slow side. Fall program registration is live, looking to fill it up soon! Thanks for checking in coach!
Facebook Business page updated
This afternoon, I switched my page from a DJ page to my sports performance coaching page. It’s was already linked to my Instagram & it has a following. So now I can create organic and paid advertisements to pull in potential clients!

Practice plan blue print
Does anyone have a practice plan in blueprint that they are willing to share? I would like to be more organised so it gives me the ability to utilise the resources on the website with a practice plan rather than watching the videos etc.

This is for SKILL DEVELOPMENT Only. I use a mix of Excel and Word to get this done. Word has the 10 week program broken down by week and what each week "theme is". I then have those same themes in Excel with links to drills that I find here from Danny or on IG. I scan those drills before my sessions and then create a quick cheat sheet to remind myself. Hope this helps 🙏
Fun and skill development
I am running two session that are 1-1/2 hours each. Any suggestions on some 4th-5th grade and 6th-7th grade fun activities that develop skill and a love for the game? Some beginners.

Line up half the kids where half court meets the sideline, the other half at baseline. Tell the baseline kids to run past the half court line and try not to get tagged, while the kids at the corner of sideline and half court line try to tag the baseline kids before they get to half court. They start on your whistle. Essentially they're playing tag! Teaches kids to weave and dodge, change direction, change pace! You can add basketballs to make it more challenging
Aside from Basketball, how do you stay in shape?
Hey team! I came back from vacation, missed y'all! I wanted to post a question to see what motivates you, aside from basketball, to stay in shape and stay sharp for your athletes. I used to play tennis and train MMA in the off-season to complement the bball grind, but now in my 40's I have started doing a lot of endurance training, including training for my first ever Marathon this October. I am running 30 miles a week these days, not including strength training and coaching athletes in the evening!
