Simon, I am not an expert but I will ask you to think about these few things. 1. Become your own ADHD expert on you 2. ADHD is like your eye colour, its not something to fix, its something to accept, and own and become a self expert on. Because your adhd is as unique to you as your eye colour. 3. Write down all the traits and positives and good things about yourself, the gifts, the things others praise you about and that you love about yourself. 4. Then write down all the issues, the problems, the things you say annoy others. Recall all the feedback you have received with curiosity not judgement. 5. With the issues list, look at all the of the issues and pick one that if you controlled/fixed or resolved it would make the biggest impact 6. Now I want you to turn the issue into a sentence, and I will give you an example "I annoy others because...........I interrupt all the time" then write this "I interrupt people all the time because............ I will forget my thoughts "I forget my thoughts because I am usually tired, stressed hungry etc." "I am tired because I forget to go to bed on time I forget to go to bed on time because I don't have a reminder" Now you have a change to make - "I can set a reminder on my phone, my alexa and my watch at 15 min intervals, to remind me gently with music, to stand, stretch, breath, prep for bed, get my book and a warm drink, wash and clean, and go to bed etc" Medication is one solution and is there for you You can also do the above, before and during exploring medication. Its never either or. Plus please don't take anything in your body to just make others feel comfortable. This message to you, is to put you first. Slow down a little, to learn to love yourself a lot and work on these traits you want to adapt and you literally grow into the version of you that is already inside, but hidden under layers of unknowing. Hope that helps. Its just an opinion and not backed by anything other my own expertise.
