I've been observing myself for quite a while (years) now and this exercise showed me how far I've already come . There is no substances or escapism. Most of the time I feel peaceful (that's how I go to sleep and wake up in the morning). No negative self-talk (my mind is a quiet one). When challenges come up I allow and acknowledge how I feel, when a challenge stresses me out I come consciously back into my body. I notice I only get stressed with challenges at times when I'm with my focus somewhere outside and not really in my body when I come instantly back into my body the stress is gone. I am and feel connected to something bigger than me. I've daily practices. I stepped out of my family for my own health and wellbeing I feel so at peace with this decision I made 3 years ago (no unresolved conflict for me). This stood out for me: Just being fully present with myself (without doing anything) is fulfilling and joyful, which was a big surprise (I still remember the deep joy and bliss I felt). My focus is on 'what do I want?'(from the heart!) Growing up with an abusive parent, not being allowed to express myself, to have wants or needs, having to sacrifice myself lead to not knowing myself, not my needs and selfworth issues for years. I've alread done a lot of work (including healing and forgiveness) and in the last two years a lot of deconditioning how I make decisions (especially respective looking for a job, which didn't work out for a reason) and the real intentions behind it. The shift living my life from 'what am I meant to do' to 'What do I want to do (from the heart)' is so empowering and brings so much joy.
