They Are Solving the Wrong Problem | Axe Verdict
yes, it's that time again. Skool News is out. and i have a controversial opinion about it (always). in this Skool News issue, they talk about "creator burnout" and "content treadmill". both are true. but they do not apply if you are NOT a content creator, but a business owner. here is what they are saying: - outsource growth to Skool - focus on delivery only sounds very attractive, right? spoiler alert - no, it does not. if you are a business owner, and you outsource smth to an external party, you want "a bulletproof service contract with clear performance metrics" (not me, Gemini said this). what does it mean? - "Clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define exactly what success looks like. Include specific deadlines, quality standards, and response times so there is no ambiguity." now, tell me, do we have this with Skool GB? well, i will answer that - no: - no control - no clear deadlines - no expected standards all we are asked for is TRUST US TO DO IT RIGHT. well, you can do it - you can trust them to do it right. i don't. and here is the REAL PROBLEM: - they said "it is working for a bunch of people". cool. what bunch? give me real numbers, please! - i can't outsource smth, if i don't have any control over how it actually works for ME. it is not the way to do business. and i am a business owner, not content creator. - and then, they are saying "continue to create content and drive traffic". what?! why? wait? didn't you just said i will end up with creator burnout?! final point. difficult to digest. remember how they said that "only 5.0 rating is not good for a community"? hm, i wonder if the same applies to their own feature. so far, they never mentioned a SINGLE bad thing about GB in the news. that just sucks. to me. - never acknowledged people's concerned - never mentioned what does not work - never said anything bad about it so, i am sorry to say what Stanislavski used to say "I don't believe you". but, it's just me.

I agree with a lot of this. I can see the problem they are trying to fix but I’m not convinced gb will be the solution. It’s effectively outsourced ads on fb and that is not going to scale for 150,000 group that we have let alone more. The fundamental issue is locality. Airbnb does not advertise each local Airbnb - it draws traffic to Airbnb and then they search for the area they want to go to. Skools problem is hormozi drew a load of “Airbnb owners” aka community builders but didn’t draw in the people who want to be in community. Thats what this is trying to fix but I can’t see gb being that fix. I actually think kits solution is better - how you can promote other newsletters from within your own. Skool has a similar affiliate system that could be developed I think so that when someone joins your group you can highlight to them 2-3 chosen groups that you are an affiliate of.

Build-in-Public Weekend GAME
The weekend is for losers (joking). It is totally okay if you take the weekend off. But if not, I have a game for ya. Here's how it works 👇 Step 1. Drop your ONE thing: What are you building or fixing this weekend? One thing. Specific. Real. Could be: - Re-Writing your community About page - Filming your first welcome/ classroom video - Fixing something that's been bugging you for weeks Drop it in the comments 👇 Step 2. Support someone else. Find one person in the comments. Cheer them on. Give feedback. Ask a question. You don't need to be an expert. Showing up counts. Step 3 — Sunday night check-in. Come back Sunday and tell us: ✅ What you actually did 💡 What you learned 🔁 What you're doing differently next weekend This is what building in public looks like: - Not perfect. - Not polished. - Just real people doing the work and growing faster because of it. I'll go first 👇 [drop your own thing here, Lidia] Who's in? 🙌

What a shift. Engagement, retention, onboarding, content, live events, and even how to build a community worth selling one day. And if you want to maximise the value from today, drop your reflection using this template: - Symptom — what problem did today's sessions diagnose in your community? - Prescription — what ONE action are you taking to solve that problem within the next 48 hours? - Vitals — what metrics will you track to see if it's working? 👆 This is also your Day 2 Chart entry: every comment = one lottery entry for Day 2's prize draw. Winner announced tomorrow during the Welcome Back Day 3 session. Prize: 1:1 Community Audit call with Lidia ($100 value). 🏆 And the Day 1 Prize Draw winner is @Tim Tindle Congratulations: your All-Access Pass is waiting! Missed any sessions today? @Jennifer Juniper 100% so glad to help. I've found with the poll give them 2-3 options max. Then go with the majority and save a close second for later. I wouldn't do DM's yet. What I'd do is go through your leaderboard and grab the tags all the members that appear on there. Save that list in notes. Then when you post @mention them all. Use it for every step - the poll, the 'this is what I'm doing and when post'. The reminder post. The recording post. This should kick things into life combined with the above!
