I'm headed fishing 🎣! I know that's a shocker 😂 Worked all week and today ! Going to rest for a few hours then drive out to Gloucester mass for some Groundfish Haddock,pollock and a chance at a halibut!

Im struggling to catch lately any advice
Im not catching much lately usualy i fish for trout but the river i usualy fish was destroyed by a farmer who acidently leaked slurry into it and i dont know when it will be alright again ive been fishing in a lake since but im not really seeing or catching

Early season fish are close to shore and accessable from shore casting but then as the water warms they move out to the first shelf /drop-off ..In the morning and evenings u might find success with power bait for trout ,using a weight to sit it on bottom cast out and set rod up in rod holder maybe with a bell to hear the bite ..Locally shore fisherman use this technique hear in upstate New York and Massachusetts

I watch the barometric pressure and I use a solunar forecast and follow the moon. Cycles very close

Be honest… what’s been your biggest frustration lately when fishing, hunting, or building?
A lot of people only share the highlights..... the big catch, the successful hunt, or the finished build.....but I’ve been realizing there’s just as much value in talking about the struggles in between Whether it’s fishing, hunting, camping, or woodworking… there’s always something that doesn’t go as planned. Gear that fails, skills that don’t click, spots that don’t produce, or projects that take way longer than expected. I’m curious what’s been your biggest frustration lately? Not the wins..... the things that are actually testing your patience or slowing you down right now. When we go out to the river for stripers we have to get bait before we fish and if it has rained or a cold front come thru the bait can get tuff ..! We know a lot of the tricks and places to go if one spot doesn't work .Yesterday the bait had moved and we struck of trying to scap the bait so we had to go out to the main river to try and jig them ..This is hit or miss But fortunately after about an hour we got into them and had a great Striper bite! But some days are tuff
