Welcome to June. This Is the Month You Get Paid for Your Skill.
Hey PDU fam 💕 Happy Monday and welcome to June. Summer is officially here. And summer means events. Graduations. Weddings. Baby showers. Quinceañeras. Corporate galas. Prom send-offs. The demand is not coming. It is already here. The question is, are you positioned to catch it? This month we are not building confidence from scratch. We are converting the skill you already have into consistent income. Before we start this week, drop in below: ➊ What are you working on or building in your business this week? ➋ Do you have any events booked for June already? Drop the number — even if it is zero. ➌ What would a fully booked June actually look like for you? Say the number out loud. The designers who name their goal are the ones who hit it. Let's go get June. — Precious

This week I’m focused on content creation, AI implementation, and growing my business . I recently completed a bridal photoshoot, booked a graduation rental, and am waiting to hear back from a high school committee about a potential event. June bookings: 1 confirmed. Fully booked June: 4–6 paid events and a strong pipeline for the summer.
If You Could Redo One Thing From This Month — What Would It Be?
Hey tribe We've got a few days left in May. And I want to ask you something before this month closes — If you could go back to May 1st knowing what you know now — what would you do differently? Not to dwell on it. Not to feel bad about it. But because the answer to that question is literally your June strategy. What you would have done differently in May is exactly what you should do first in June. Drop below: What's ONE thing you would redo or start earlier if you had May over again? This is some of the most valuable data you'll ever have about your own business. Use it.

If I could redo one thing this month, I would’ve focused more on building my systems before taking on so much at once. I learned that preparation behind the scenes matters just as much as the creativity. Going into June, I want to move with more structure, more confidence, and more consistency instead of trying to figure everything out in the middle of the process.
Back at It. What Are You Building This Week?
Hey PDU fam! Happy Monday. New week, let's get into it. Before you scroll past, drop below real quick: ➊ What skill or project are you working on this week? ➋ What are you planning to actually create or practice? ➌ How could what you are working on this week turn into income? Shoutout to everyone who dropped their update Friday 👇 @Shonna Mack consistency even with a full plate, inquiries followed up on, and draping practice as the focus going into this week. This week let's see it happen. What are you setting up and when?| @Ruth B. showing up to RTB and Drapers Den while still recovering is dedication. This week rest is the priority and we mean it. Come back fully charged. Everything will be here waiting for you. @Tronda Dixon long week, missed call, laptop issue, but you still found the replays and kept going. New laptop incoming and Business Operations training starting this week. Come ready because this Tuesday training is one you do not want to miss or just catch on replay. @Von Sturg venue asked to tag you, uplights purchased, good content captured, and already thinking about add-on packages. That is a business growing in real time. This week get that content posted and start building out what the Masquerade Experience package actually looks like on paper. @Lucy Mireles flower wall, balloon garland, food truck events, family visiting, and tulip season in Holland all at once. You are juggling a lot. This week make sure you are capturing your setups even quickly because that content is sitting right there. Everyone else, Sasha, Daphne, Marie, Nicole, Regina, Donna, Jacqueline, Kimberly, Dianne and the rest of the fam, don't go quiet on a Monday. Drop in and tell us what you are building this week. Let's make it count!

This week I’m focusing on continuing to practice my draping skills and getting more comfortable with setting up my looks with confidence. My goal is to create and practice a full backdrop setup for my own birthday photoshoot. This will give me a chance to work on my fabric placement, layering, color choices, and overall presentation while also creating something personal and special for myself. I can see how this can turn into income because the more confident and consistent I become with my setups, the better I can market my backdrop services, show clients what I can offer, and turn more inquiries into paid bookings. I’m still building, still practicing, and still pushing myself to show up even when I’m nervous.
Friday Recap. Tell Us How the Week Went
Hey PDU fam! Happy Friday. Before you close out the week, drop below real quick: ➊ What did you actually get done or practice this week? ➋ What didn't move that you wanted it to? ➌ What is one thing you want to focus on going into next week? Shoutout to everyone who showed up this week 👇 @Tronda Dixon the domain disconnect was the one thing holding your CRM back. Did you get it resolved? Once that clears everything else can move. Tell us where you landed. @Sasha Castle kit incoming, baby shower well underway, luncheon end of May already being planned, and thinking ahead about what else your clients need. That is a woman running a full operation. Did any of the shipment arrive and how is the baby shower prep coming together? @Daphne S-w prom send off, ladies tea party, AND website upgrade finishing touches all in one week. That is execution on multiple fronts. How did the events go and is the website live? @Von Sturg first official prom at a beautiful venue, third Mardi Gras Masquerade and turning it into a tiered package called the Masquerade Experience. That is not just an event, that is a product being born. How did it go and did you get the content you need to start selling that package? Everyone else, Ruth, Marie, Nicole, Regina, Lucy, Dianne, Donna, Jacqueline, Kimberly and the rest of the fam, don't go quiet on a Friday. Drop your update below so we close the week with intention. See you Monday!

Happy Friday PDU fam! This week I practiced staying consistent and pushing forward, even with a lot on my plate. I worked on getting more organized with my Xpress Your Royalty process, following up on inquiries, and continuing to prepare for upcoming events and draping opportunities. I didn’t get as much hands-on draping practice done as I wanted, but I’m not discouraged. I know consistency is the goal. Going into next week, I want to focus on practicing my draping, getting clearer with my setup process.
