1-2 hours of studying every night after my son goes to sleep. Literally reading and working through examples for structural engineering. It is my long-term plan for SE. However, I use it as a reminder of the basics and can still design and analyze by hand if needed. Every Friday before I leave the office, I reflect on my working week: What I did good, what I can do better, and what my mistakes were.

In my career. You know that titles are pretty messy at AEC.

My current role is technical manager, but my title is structural designer II. The rule is a combo of structural design and analysis of buildings, development of design and detailing workflow, documenting best practices handbook for internal use, and attending meetings with clients and partners for technical support.
