Less Talk and More Reading
Hey this is your friendly reminder not to talk about the Bible more than you read it. This hit me, because I spent all day talking about the Bible but as I’m getting ready to rest and go to sleep… I haven’t read my Bible today! 😬 We can spend more time talking about Jesus than we do talking to Jesus… if you want to be religious and powerless… that is the formula. All word and no power… just talk about God but never walk in the discipline to actually seek God. And No, watching the Chosen or House of David does not count 🙄

Searching for Promotion?
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭75‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬ I’ve talked about it before but God just dropped this verse in my Spirit. Many times we will spend large amounts of money and time to travel to go to a conference or to get a Word from some man or woman of God in hopes of receiving an impartation. We’re looking for a breakthrough, a way out… A way forward and Up… but our promotion does not come from man… yet we feel like we need to be at the next event. We fall down after prayer but get up and honestly… our life looks the same. Why? Because we’re the same. Yes God always uses men when he wants to do something on the earth… but God is the one using them. What do I mean? Elijah was sent to Elisha by God… meaning Elisha was gaining the Lords attention in secret and God used a man the manifest the promotion that was already appointed. Samuel was told by God that Saul was on the way and to anoint him… Saul was told by God to anoint David. God is the one who selects who will get promoted and when. So it’s interesting that we pick the man, the anointing and the conference yet we see Biblically these men were just living their lives and God interrupted them with increase. Your promotion is connected to your wilderness… Enjoy the trail because it won’t last forever.

Mind Blown…
Wait?! Is the Angel of the Lord in the OT the same Angel in Revelation 1:1? Because apparently Jesus has a specific Angel and He sent that Angel to give John the book of Revelation. 🤔 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Oh and apparently, like Peter… Jesus’ Angel looks just like Him. So much so that John confuses him with Jesus and tries to worship him… Twice. “And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Time to Grow Up
I preached a sermon last Wednesday titled it’s time to grow up. Earlier that day someone came up to me telling me that they had gone to a conference and they were learning about the ministry of angels. I had just gotten back from São Paulo Brazil and met with a Pastor and when I asked him what the Lord had been saying he said… Many people are looking for a fresh prophetic word, a sign from God or some new wonder but He had been teaching his congregation that it all comes back to Jesus. The revelation immediately hit me… When the Pharisees would see a miracle, they would come to Jesus and ask him for another miracle or another sign to prove what He was saying and Jesus would say… “Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: for as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭38‬-‭40‬ ‭KJV‬‬ The sign of Jonah was Jesus pointing backward to an event that was prophetically pointing forward to the greatest sign and wonder. God being crucified on the cross. Paul later spoke saying… “ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7 We don’t need a new sign, a new teaching, a new revelation, a new anointing… we need to simply obey the last command. You see there’s this pattern that people are running in circles looking for breakthrough, traveling far and wide to find an epiphany but their breakthrough is tied to obedience. Think about it… the entire Bible is tied to obedience. Deuteronomy 28 gives an exhaustive list of blessings for obedience and an even longer list of curses for disobedience. “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

@Everett Aaron wow I think of Thallies attitude right now 😂😂 She will fold her arms and scrunch her face about as hard as she can at me when she is told to do something or is told NOT to do something. (This morning it was wearing sneakers instead of ballet flats to school) Things were hard for her until she submitted to the authority (me) that she had to wear sneakers. Sometimes we act like this to our leaders and to God “No that’s dumb I’m going to do it my way” and it does not work out for us like my daughter couldn’t walk out the door and go to school (her next place) until she submitted and put the correct shoes on. 👀 Wondering how many times I’ve folded my arms and scrunched my face at my leaders or at God… what areas of my life could I be doing this now 👀👀
God is able
Yesterday I was teaching and something hit me. I’m reading the story of Job and the Bible says He was the Greatest Man in the east. We know Job was rich, but do you realize that God took everything away from the greatest man in the east and then when God wanted he gave him back double?! Like it’s easy for God. God could do it today- whatever you’re believing for, if He wanted to. God raised Joseph in 24 hours from prisoner to second in command over a Nation. The problem is not God’s ability, it’s our maturity and our ability to pass the tests to reach those levels. There is always a cost. Nothing comes free. Jesus has the Name above Every Other Name, but Jesus went lower than any other being. Job paid an expensive cost for that double portion and even as the book of Job starts we read that he would make sacrifices for his children daily and continually just in case they sinned. Since he had 10 children that means Job was killing 10 animals and that’s a big sacrifice since each animal is producing financial gain, resources and has the potential to reproduce. Job was paying an extraordinary price and cost to be where he was. The question for you is… Are you willing to pay the cost because God is able. “and he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.2.21.KJV
