Grief Work
I’m cautious about prematurely framing grief as “growth.” Sometimes the work is simply stabilizing enough to function. For me ethical pacing in grief work means honoring that healing is not a race. Sometimes the most ethical and compassionate goal is helping someone stabilize enough to breathe, sleep, and move through the day, not forcing meaning or growth before one is ready.
