Hello SoundRise Artists, We want to thank you for your patience and support as we continue building the strongest learning experience possible for you. Mentoring classes and additional classwork will officially begin Monday, March 2nd.This is a one-week delay from our original schedule. We made this decision intentionally so we can ensure everything is fully prepared to support you as you navigate mentoring hours alongside aligned coursework. New Learning Resources Coming We are also partnering with a well-known vocal coach, along with piano and guitar coaches, who will be providing at-home study videos. These resources are being added to help you grow consistently outside of live sessions. In the meantime, you can: - Watch the videos already posted in the classroom - Review manuals and handbooks currently available - Use the mentor links provided to connect with them on TikTok Connecting With Mentors on TikTok When visiting mentor live streams: - Follow the mentor and turn on the notification bell so you know when they go live - Introduce yourself as a SoundRise Academy student so mentors can recognize and connect with you - Please be respectful when entering their lives or joining other creators’ lives. These are not official SoundRise mentoring sessions unless specifically scheduled in the Skool Calendar, but public streams for all TikTok Users. Important Creator Setup (Do This Now) If you are creating beats, lyrics, songs, instrumentals, or classical tracks for upload or live performance: Register as a creator at www.BMI.com (Free to Register)This is a major source of royalty collection and is essential in addition to uploading your music to streaming platforms. For distribution, we recommend DistroKid. If you are using CD Baby we highly discourage this as they have been known to keep royalties of independent artists and claim right to the artists work. If you need help with uploading to distrokid and you do not wish to do this on your own please reach out to myself, Ms. Queen, or Diandra Renee for additional help.
