Podcasting facility would be definitely something unique, and combining a music studio, anyone know where the closest one is? This is a good idea. Definitely will attract all groups and ages

@Ross Anderson yes correct, they have closed the flat roof section of the building due to the defective RAAC panels, there is also no timeline on when these get replaced. So effectively may not open anytime soon. Needed an upgrade to be fair and also something that is affordable. A squash court was 17£ an hour and no discount even as a member

@Fraser Tulloch i have done plenty of RAAC inspections and I know that they are deemed defective now and the ones in the sports centre have come to the end of their lifespan, so effectively it’s a full roof replacement, which is why it’s taking so long to get approval/funding. Or they may never who knows it’s definitely not a straight forward replacement. Sounds like the new community hub will be built before these get reopened 🤣

If I were a building, I would probably still be under construction. I am Shane Reilly, director of Reilly Structures, a local structural engineering business here in North Berwick. I have been lucky enough to work on a wide variety of projects, but what I enjoy most is seeing spaces come to life and bring people together. Outside of work, I like keeping active and spending time with my family. You will often find me walking along the beach, on the golf course, or in the gym (when I am not talking about building one). I would love to see our community with a purpose-built gym, a great café, a sports hall, and a welcoming place for people to socialise and somewhere we can all enjoy and make use of. Looking forward to meeting more of you and sharing ideas.
