Hi lovelies, for my artist date I was originally planning on taking myself to a pottery class, yet because it was valentines weekend & I didn’t book ahead the classes were full so I pivoted. I got invited to this beautiful private party called Hashish Club of Paris that is modeled after a real club in the 1800’s where artists & great minds would come together to craft culture. The intention of these party’s serve as an activation point where we can be reflected back our true nature through the multifaceted jewel of exquisite humans who attend. Musicians, change makers, company owners, you name it. Everyone in the room has one thing in common, they were hand selected for the impact they are making in the world. I decided to let my inner dream girl really shine by bringing forth a costume that reflected my essence that I wanted to embody. The archetype came to me: Duchess Amour🌹 she is a Parisian Duchess who curated Salons dedicated to the arts, indulgence & pleasure. The feminine, more embodied, private club. This process was really fun of ordering different pieces & even getting creative to make it exactly what I was envisioning. The petticoat I ordered was too long & too white so I ended up cutting off the bottom half and then dying it with tea bags in my bath tub to make it look more vintage! (A great trick btw!) here is some photos from the process & party. It’s funny how when we follow these creative channels so much more than what we originally imagined can be birthed. For me, I realized that this archetype and Salon de Rose wants to be actualized. Now I am in the process of birthing the real life Salon de Rose and producing a party filled with beautiful prayerformance that use beauty and story telling to awaken the hearts & minds of humanity. The signature of true art is that it doesn’t tell you what to think, instead it uses the magik of artistry to draw the message forth from the subconscious that the viewer is meant to receive at the time. This is the vision of my new project. I feel very lit up by this creation & am excited to share more as it evolves.
