Might be more harmful in the long run:P But for me I just shift to another story/project. This can be from not feeling 100% mentally and needing to work on a less complex story, or simply being in a different "genre mood" entirely. That way you can still get the creativity/productivity satisfaction without turning something you enjoy into work by forcing it.

Amazing hahaha
Organizing your project
Where do keep your writing? What software do you use to write, organize, plan your writing project? I have found Notion to be really great for the actual writing part but I also use Obsidian for getting my rough thoughts down before organizing them. I am writing a non-fiction book which explores psychological and sociological concepts, so its not so much a plot and storyline but ideas to organize. What works for you and your project? Is it an area you have a system thats really working for you or is it holding you back?

This is definitely my biggest problem. Too many ideas and projects on the go, relying on just notes and flowcharts and procrastinating about spending the time to properly organize it all! Will check all of these options out and see how I can integrate my current format of chaos.
A million words.
Ray Bradbury once said that you only begin getting to the gold of your writing after you’ve written a million words. No words written are a waste, each one gets you closer to that million. Keep writing ✨

To emphasize nothing being written a waste, the skill you gain after 1 million words can be applied to redrafting everything from the first sentence written.

@Reko Vitae For perspective Storm of Swords is not even half a million and is over 1100 pages:P
