Helpful Books
I've been listening to this book on creativity. Its pretty simple but profound. It gives a really great context for creativity and inspiration, as well as partnering either your ideas to make them come to life. Highly recommend it.

One of the great writing books. It's helped me along the way.
My Writing Project
Im writing a book about Men and the arc of maturation/initiation. It weaves mythology, anthropology, psychology, and philosophy into a narrative where we can see the arc of transformation from a boy, into a mature man. And actually part two follows the arc from a mature man, into an elder. So far I have written the first draft of 5 out of the 16 chapters, and have planned out several others. Its been in the works for a few years now, but it took me about 18 months to know what I was writing. For a while I was writing all of my ideas down without really knowing if it was a book, a podcast, a course etc... but since it has become clear that Im writing a book I've organized it all, layed out the chapters and now have a structure to continue filling in. I dont have a release date yet. Part of a successful book launch is to have readers, so I am building up my following right now, I have just set up our podcast studio and will be posting more on social media in hopes to gain some recognition, so when I complete the book I can share it with a larger audience. I look forward to hearing about all the different projects you guys are working on. Please post your own so we can connect with like minds and learn from each other.

Hearing about your book, I can’t help but think it’s part of your path to write it. It matches what I see in your unfolding, the essence of which I see you put into practice and speak about often. I just have faith that you will do what you set out to do, so congratulations on that 🙌

@Reko Vitae great idea on creating a community, one of the main challenges in writing is the lone aspect, I find. Having others to echo my experience helps with that!

@Reko Vitae That's fun. Will make note of that!
A million words.
Ray Bradbury once said that you only begin getting to the gold of your writing after you’ve written a million words. No words written are a waste, each one gets you closer to that million. Keep writing ✨

@Reko Vitae Exactly. I tend to see the writing process as part of my own hero's journey. Our task is to keep putting down words as life unfolds, sometimes taking us on myriad detours, but enriching us and therefore our writing along the way.
Organizing your project
Where do keep your writing? What software do you use to write, organize, plan your writing project? I have found Notion to be really great for the actual writing part but I also use Obsidian for getting my rough thoughts down before organizing them. I am writing a non-fiction book which explores psychological and sociological concepts, so its not so much a plot and storyline but ideas to organize. What works for you and your project? Is it an area you have a system thats really working for you or is it holding you back?

I’ve used Scrivener for the last decade, it’s awesome for fiction writing but I do wish it had a cloud version so I could access it from my phone.
