Happy new year, everyone! We waited the fireworks playing card games, then fell asleep right after.. looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings!
👋 Welcome to the group, you legends
Thanks for jumping in here early – you’re basically the founding members of this community. This space is for all of you who already follow my work and want a place to go a bit deeper together. Please say hi in the comments and share: - Who are you and what dog/dogs you have? - What are you mainly working on right now? - What’s the first thing you’d like to learn here – one topic or problem you want me to cover as soon as possible? Many thanks, Alex

Hi all! I’m Sere and I have two hungarian pointers: Saffron my girl who’s 5 and mostly “tamed” (lives most of the time in a calm liberty window, very responsible and biddable but also manipulative and comes with a hidden agenda most times) and Tokaji who’s a very drivey 21 months old boy who loves his self employed hunting sprees, loves to live in his “find your own fun” window where he puts himself into work mode and becomes a hunting machine.. for himself. Currently working on communication and control, work ethic, clarity during play and life, and motivation. Tokaji has a tendency to disengage from me during training in new settings, and vocalises when frustrated (ie unclear on task or too aroused by reward to think straight) For starter I would love to clear our play cue - ie if I have a toy in my hand both dogs currently see that as play cue instead of waiting for my verbal cue Thanks for having us!
Welcome!
Welcome to the Karate4Dogs Learning Hub. This space will serve as the central platform for all my training content: - courses - workshops - challenges - updates - training breakdowns - upcoming projects Everything I teach will live here in an organised and structured way. More materials will be added soon. Feel free to introduce yourself and your dog, and tell me what you’re currently working on. – Alex

Hi everyone, my name is Sere and I have 2 hungarian pointers; Saffron who’s 5yo and a professional manipulator, former professional scavenger. We had several challenges throughout her adolescence (we used to live in central London) due to misunderstanding between us culminating in her being reactive and “unpredictable” with both dogs and people - we worked through it and she now is very solid and tolerant, great communication with other dogs. A continuous work in progress nonetheless. We purchased her from a breeder in Italy. Then about 18 months ago we welcomed our second dog Tokaji, a hungarian pointer rescue from Hungary as a puppy - basically a hunter in the hands of two vegetarians. He came with a very different set of challenges (high drive cum high arousal, anyone?) and I quickly understood I needed to up my game with him. With him we currently do GRC (wall climb mostly), flyball (Overdrive flyball club), gundog (also his self-employed hunting skills are of course top notch 😂), scentwork, basic obedience, search (would love to do tracking with him) and some mantrailing. The girl does mostlty scentwork and gundog (loves retrieves) and we hike off leash for hours. And of course both are my main models for fitness and conditioning whilst I work through my CPCFT accreditation 😊 Very excited to be here and hope to work on increasing clarity during our training and eveyday life, improving my play style and handler’s motion as there is a lot of room for improvement (also their play style is very different so I need to work on flexing my own style) and many other bits! Thanks for welcoming us :)
