Fresh Off The Press!
This just in! Have y’all heard of the Trump Account? If you have a child under 18, I recommend starting a Trump Account. It’s like a savings account for children. For new babies, born between 2025-2028, the Government starts the account off with $1000 ($1250 if you’re within certain income limits) and you can add up to $5000 a year. This account can later be used by the child for school, homeownership, or entrepreneurship. Don’t let the name fool you! This is a good thing that they will not tell everyone about! Question
Have you ever named a beneficiary for your bank accounts?

I’ve personally never did. I realized recently that it would be irresponsible not to. If I would want my family to have access to all assets.

I would say no, because when I made that amount, I had 4 children. The truth is, I had poor money management. I was check to check because I didn’t stay true to the non-negotiable line items, pay myself first, nor put towards an emergency savings.
The Importance of Community in Finance
True financial security isn’t just about numbers on a page—it’s about having people who support your goals, challenge your thinking, and walk with you as you build a stronger future. That’s how lasting financial freedom is created: together. As you travel on your financial journey, there will sometimes be setbacks. Do you have people in your corner that you can count on? If not, are you familiar with the resources in your community that can assist in a time of need? Tell us, how has your community helped you in a rough time? What local community and government resources have you used in the past, that may be able to help others? Let’s talk about it! Drop your comments below ☺️

Before my father passed, he was my go to guy for any immediate assistance. Now, I’m finding I have to be that person. It’s become extremely important to me to start a savings fund for emergencies. Not just for me and my household, but for other members of my family. Outside of that, I have discovered programs that will help with things like rental or utility assistance in GA. Even those programs might not be enough or readily available (especially if you have to live in the state/county for a certain time frame to benefit).
