What is your best tip for creating viral shorts?
Hey everyone, I'm working on a presentation titled "Mastering Short Video" for a conference. While I'm including a bunch of things I've learned over the years, I'd love to have a slide that shares advice from other short creators/managers. Growing a Channel with Podcasts
I was going to ask this on the call, but since it's canceled, I'll ask it here instead! ☺️ In the past, I've told clients that making content that is optimized specifically for YT is the best way to go, and that video podcasts are just kind of "extras" but that I wouldn't recommend them as the sole content. HOWEVER -- I am being asked more and more about video podcasting and using that to start building a channel since they are currently creating the podcast each week anyway. My reservation is that I'd probably have less control over the content, which would make it harder to optimize in terms of titles, and predicting how they might perform. Can you please share your thoughts?

Same questions are coming up in my workplace, Paige. To help with content/packaging and that hard pre-production balance, I'm asking: What's the podcast really about? Is there a theme or journey that each podcast episode taps into that can hook the audience? I can use this to help with pre-production even if I'm not getting a say in the exact podcast topics. I can at least have a general knowledge of what to expect. Who's the expert? Is the host a personality I can "sell" to an audience? Or do I need to "sell" the guests? Figuring that out can really help with thumbnail ideations and we can start to develop a theme.
