Selling from the Stage
How to sell without being "that" person. If you have a book or a coaching program, the stage is your best sales floor. But if you’re too "salesy," you'll feel the audience's trust evaporate. The secret is the "Value-Add" Transition. - The "Free Gift" Slide: Offer a worksheet in exchange for email. - The Case Study: Tell a story about a client you helped. - The Invitation: Simply state: "We only have 45 minutes today, but for those who want to go deeper, I have a program that covers this." The best "pitch" is really just an invitation to continue the conversation you started on stage. Tagging in some of new members: @Lynn Baker @Curtis Banas @Dawn Ziegerer @Andrew Haley @Ariel Thorne

"The best 'pitch' is really just an invitation to continue the conversation you started." This is a great approach to sales in general. I've trained many salespeople, and I always say your top goal at the end of every conversation is to get them to take the next step of commitment with you, whatever that looks like at this stage. Inviting them to continue the conversation with you is a great, non-threatening, effective way to do just that.
