My name is Scott. Started my guitar playing Journey in 2002. I had been going to shows since I was 16 and had always wanted to be that guy on stage. At 20 I finally decided to go for it and bought a squire strat and a small fender amp. My roommate then introduced me to tabs and I started learning all kinds of songs by ear only. Got in my first band around 2005 and doing shows a year later. Since that time there were two other bands with the last one ending due to the pandemic. That sucked because we had grown a good following and we were getting bigger shows. Now I just mess around in my basement and do some recording on the gear I've accumulated over time. I also do acoustic covers and sing doing a few open mics here and there. My one regret is during that entire time I never really took the time to really master the fret board. I always played by ear and played what I thought sounded good. I know a few scales and if I did any soloing it too was by ear. I just wanted to get on stage and perform so I did what got me there the fastest. Im hoping by being a part of this group I can start to get a better understanding of what im doing. Thanks for having me.
