Has anyone in the community dual-tracked 2 lenders until closing? meaning you signed the commitment letter with 2 lenders and selected one before closing. If so, how did it go? Were there any issues you faced?

Had an awesome call yesterday with an owner of a $1B portfolio! He was an AM guest as well and in a similar space as me. He gave me some great advice on our M&A strategy as I have been getting really frustrated lately. For me, I need at least 10 active deals at a time in order for 2 to close. And get the owner in a face to face meeting as soon as possible. Finally follow up, follow up, follow up and stay around the hoop on lost deals.

How many calls have you made? Direct connections? Outreach events like the Chamber have you attended? Bias for action! Get out of the spreadsheets and into the world!
