Bought WTR MAX, now what?
If all goes well, the WTR MAX should ship tomorrow, and now I'm trying to decide what OS or hypervisor I should install. - TrueNAS is an option. It's a good NAS but for all sorts of reasons, I rather run VM's and docker elsewhere. - Proxmox with TrueNAS inside is an option. Unfortunately, there is no guidance on running TrueNAS in Proxmox on the platform. No idea if I can pass a SATA controller. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.

File Deduplication
A lot is written these days about file system deduplication, but at a more end-user friendly level there is still a need for file deduplication. I was recently asked to come up with an option for a specific purpose, and I wonder if people have a favorite tool they are using to make sure they aren't storing 9 copies of their favorite movie between their machines. My research turned up - Gemini II for macOS - Czkawka for Linux-macOS-Windows Several others came up in my search, but they are either strictly command line tools, or haven't been updated in a number of years. Any suggestions from the community at large? Czkawka seems useful, and it's open source (available on Github). https://github.com/qarmin/czkawka

IP KVMs
Is anybody making use of an IP KVM? I have both a JetKVM (backed on Kickstarter last fall) and two GL.iNet Comet KVMs. The pricing on them is comparable, but the edge I will give to the Comet is that it is readily available on Amazon. They each have small quirks, but seem to be getting better as each firmware update is released. Is there an alternative out there that is price competitive that I don't know about?

Proxmox Cluster build, questions
Hi All, I am working on building a proxmox cluster for my homelab. The cluster is made up of 3 MS-A2's, each with 64 GB RAM with 1TB +4TB NVMe SSD's. Proxmox is installed on the 1TB drive for all nodes. I am curious what other people's opinions would be for setting up Ceph vs non Ceph for the cluster. Ceph would be using the 4TB drives. I would like to use the USB4 connections for the Ceph Network (linked between the 3 nodes) similar to what Jeff has done here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAWZawNdw1k I dont have anything currently running that would require the High Availability that Ceph provides. Most of what would be running on the homelab would be a couple of small servers and a large handful of windows systems for playing with AD and windows administration. It would be nice to mostly seamlessly be able to move VMs around though. The other thought I had about using standard clustering with HA would be that I would have a lot more storage space on each node to use for hosting more VMs or storing various amounts of data. From my (basic) research, it also looks like using Ceph would allow me to take snapshots where as using the 4tb drives as local storage would not. Snapshots would be a cool to have as well. As this is really my first journey into learning about clustering, thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I like the idea of using ceph because with 3 nodes you can do ha if you do ceph
Nas drives
