A lot is written these days about file system deduplication, but at a more end-user friendly level there is still a need for file deduplication.
I was recently asked to come up with an option for a specific purpose, and I wonder if people have a favorite tool they are using to make sure they aren't storing 9 copies of their favorite movie between their machines.
My research turned up
- Gemini II for macOS
- Czkawka for Linux-macOS-Windows
Several others came up in my search, but they are either strictly command line tools, or haven't been updated in a number of years.
Any suggestions from the community at large? Czkawka seems useful, and it's open source (available on Github).
