After nearly 3 years wait (in the wait list for this allotment) and more than 7 since we have been trying to get one here in the UK. We FINALLY have our own allotment. We are starting with a half plot, which is about 6mx15m (haven’t measured it yet) The plot had been abandoned for various years, and is currently covered in blackthorn shoots, an Ash tree that was cut down and it wanting to grow back again and 4 apple trees that have been very neglected. We got lucky that the plot cabe with a shed, so finally have a place to store our tools. Can’t wait to start making it look good!

Hi! I’m not sure if anyone has checked out WWOOF. It’s an app that connects farmers offering a work trade program for their knowledge. They offer housing and food, you’re just there to help and learn. I thought it was pretty awesome and wanted to share. Check it out! I found one an hour away from me! I can’t wait!

I need to ask something. I already went through half the classes but somehow I lost my records of it. Is there a way to get it back? And does it still work that one need to finish all the classes and submit a design to be certified?

Anyone else seeing huge migrating groups of robins? Usually... they are the first sign of spring here in Northern Florida zone 9. We looked at the temperatures for the remaining of the month and into next... and it's warm for this time of the year.

What are everyone’s 2025 goals for their learning and/or homesteading journey? I’ll kick it off! My goal is to sell my extra produce next year. Which also ties into I need my garden to be way more efficient so I have even more to sell.
