Hi! Thank you for the welcome! My name is Sashen, I am from a small sea side town called Gibsons, in BC, Canada. I am and have been many things: - Lead Audio Designer on AAA video games (FIFA, Minecraft etc) - Operations Management - (Volunteer) Deputy Station Leader for Marine Search and Rescue (This is what brought me to this community) - Active advanced crew member for the same Marine SAR above. I dont have much, if any experience in government contracting. Some of that experience is with regards to funding initiatives for my SAR station. Ultimately I am hoping to learn this world and understand a bit more on the mechanisms at play in this ecosystem. I feel like so much of it is a black box guarded by mountains of formality and red tape, its hard to understand the human connection underneath it all so I can navigate it effectively as a leader. Thank you so much for making a group like this, I am happy to be here and look forward to participating :)

Worth saying that I know based on the "Getting started" post that this will be very United States specific. I have found in my working with the Canadian and US Coast guard that there are a lot of organizational similarities. Different names but ultimately the same structure.
