Aaron’s recent videos on Insta have helped me learn to let go of the attachment to external things that I thought I needed in order to feel secure internally. I am extremely grateful for this advice and for my learnings and growth that have come from it and I just wanted to share how this has played into my life. 😊 I have recently came to the discovery that I don’t need other people to be ‘good’ or to give me validation in order to feel secure. I had limiting beliefs around needing to be surrounded by good people to feel safe. This belief was created by my sheltered childhood where I was lucky to have good people around me all the time, making me feel safe and secure. But now I’m realising that in adulthood, I am in the real world and I cannot rely on these external factors of other people to make my internal state feel safe and at peace. I challenge this limiting belief. I feel the separation between me, my actions and my problems, and other people, their actions and their problems. I’ve come to realise that I shouldn't be internally affected by these external people, their words, their behaviours - their problems. I release the attachment to the idea that I am affected internally by external evils. I release the limiting belief that I need to be surrounded by only good people in order to be secure and safe. I accept the commiment to being good despite environments and all external factors. I release the care and judgement for ‘goodness’ in other people. I accept the challenge to do good and think good always, even in the presence of ‘bad’ people. I accept that others (who exhibit ‘bad’ actions or behaviours) do not know what they are doing and that I need to forgive them because of that. I release focusing on these judgements that are wasting my time and energy, and making me internally stress all the time! And now I am finally starting to feel the freedom that Aaron has been talking about last week! I will continue working on this because I know there’s more to unpack for me and related areas that cause me stress.
