Holding his down around multiple people who he isn’t familiar with and in an unfamiliar environment with plenty of distractions. He’s only been to my Mums house in Canberra once before as a puppy so he’s doing really well 💞 @Loma Simmons

Penelope doesn’t quite understand the word “down” and kind of thinks “sit” means “down” 🤣 but she knows she’s meant to do something when I ask it! I added some distance, plus the distraction of her barking sister and passing cars / people, whenever she popped up, an “ah” was all it took for her to happily go straight back into her down. She’s such a smart little girl and is learning SO much! I’m so proud of my Poot 🥰🐾

This week has definitely been our hardest week so far as part of this challenge and my whole time being at the wonderful Walkys Dog Academy! 💕 Archie is continuing to make progress with his Down Stay, but I haven’t quite managed to get my beautiful boy to do a down stay on command for me… yet! (But the amazing @Matthew Marsh has managed to in his training session with my boy this morning YAY, so we are very close) 🐾 And that’s okay! Training is all about patience, consistency and celebrating the little wins along the way. ❤️ I know that with continued practice, we’ll get there definitely. Over the coming weeks, I’ll keep working with Archie and building his confidence and skills so that he can be where he needs to be for the Blue Mile Walk and for everyday life 💙🐾 Here’s a little clip of our progress from this week’s training session. Well what was great previously has been a challenge this week. Little Crazy Maizie has always been very noise sensitive & quite scared of things when out & about but we had improved with that so much over the last few months I thought we were all good. These last 3 weeks she's shown those sensitivities quite a lot again so it's been challenging us with the tasks but thankfully with the support of this wonderful Walkys team & this beautiful amazing community of people we are continuing to keep working through each challenge & trying to help my beautiful girl understand that the world isn't going to eat her. Lol🤣 So today's effort she was definitely still a little on edge, so not chilled & really calm but I'm happy with her being mostly able to perform what I asked of her without an actual meltdown. She had a lovely loose leash walk all the way home & I thought I'd try grab a quick down on the driveway where she is most scared with the traffic noise at the moment & we managed it for about 30seconds. So for us that's a win. Lol 🤣 Go Wild Dogs. I think we need a win this week. Lol🤣 💜😊 @Loma Simmons
