We jumped straight into yesterday with Marlo’s recall! I am still so nervous to let go of the lead so that will be our next step this week… Quite a few of his triggers out yesterday while filming. Lots of cars going past in the background, a few birds flying above in the trees and some moths about too 😂 He did so well resisting all of them and was locked in on me! I added a bit more distraction at the end of the video with me acting a fool and running/ jumping around and he passed the test 🥳 Apologies for the longer video haha. Go Wild Dogs! Final week!!

Maizie & Maui in the park with the kiddies in the background. They are besties so no drama with them being together but thought they would be super distracted wanting to play but they were good. I then got together with @Kayla Campbell with Rosie & our first meeting rain & all we had to keep quite a bit of distance both being reactivate pups, but it was a great starting point & were both still pretty happy it wasn't disastrous. Lol🤣 Then we got together again Friday & what a difference the second attempt at the challenge was. The instant over excitement took a couple of minutes walking in a circle as @Nath Morrison suggested & they settled so quick & then we were able to get straight into the actual challenge drills. We were extremely happy with the results & very proud of our pups for such a huge improvement from 1st meeting & then 2nd meeting. Woohoo. Go Wild Dogs. 💜😊 @Loma Simmons

This week’s weather made it tough to get out, but we managed to catch the only sunshine of the week with an afternoon walk at the Blue Mile. In the video you’ll see Calvin was excited and reactive early on, but he settled as the walk went on and I put more distance between us and passing dogs. Rather than edit that part out, I wanted to show how his reactivity eased over the course of the walk. His lead was a bit tight at times, but I felt it was necessary while Calvin was jumping around whenever other dogs got close. Here’s hoping for more sun next week, and with it, more opportunities to practice! @Loma Simmons

struggled to get out as much as we’d like to due to illness this week, but dice did such a good job on a street nearby that we call ‘the gauntlet’ cos of how many vocal dogs live there. his engagement was so good despite the distraction (didnt wanna film yhe house in question but u can hear them barking) and he took some small corrections so well!
