Amazon Prime Days June 23-26, 2026
🧵 Prime Day Treasure Hunt!✂️ Amazon Prime Days are here (today through Friday), and I did a little “window shopping” through the sewing Supplies 🛍️ I spotted some pretty good deals on sewing goodies, notions and even a great deal on a computerized HD Singer sewing machine. There were definitely a few tools that I WILL be ordering even though I don’t exactly NEED anything. I mean, when has that ever stopped me before when it comes to sewing supplies. I’ll drop screenshots of some of my finds below but there’s plenty more deals out there. If you find one that I don’t have listed, post it here for the rest of us 👀 And because a few of you have asked before, yes—I am an Amazon Affiliate. If you happen to shop through my link, Amazon tosses a tiny commission my way at no extra cost to you. Think of it as buying me a virtual cup of coffee while you’re stocking up on fabric-adjacent necessities. ☕🧵 No pressure at all—just wanted to share the deals in case you were already planning a Prime Day sewing supply haul! Happy bargain hunting, friends! 🛒✨ Check out this page from nonnysewsthings https://a.co/d/00Tln5hV]

@Debra Verrall I have mine attached to a piece of elastic that I wear around my neck. That way, it's always on hand

@Debra Verrall haha, it is fraught with danger, though. The points sometimes poke me in the stomach and I have to be careful that I don't stab my cats when I pick them up!!! My granddaughters have learned to swing the snips to my back when I give them a cuddle

Since I have spent most of the morning doing housework but would rather have been sewing, I thought I would ask all of you…. What’s your process when it comes to housework/cleaning vs sewing/crafting? As I’ve gotten older I have found that I generally prefer my environment to be somewhat put together and uncluttered in order to focus on sewing. However, I will say that every now and then I get a wild haired idea about a pattern or project and I cannot rest until I give it a try No Matter the state of the house. So, what say you? Answer below and explain in the comments.

I go through stages - depending on work pressures and creativity levels. Sometimes my house looks lovely and other times it's a mess🫣

In the spirit of sewing machine maintenance (see last week’s needle changing post) let’s do another quiz. WITHOUT GOOGLING the answer: How Often Should you Clean/Dust Out Your Sewing Machine? I will post the answer along with a little video tomorrow. Let’s hear your thoughts!

OMG - I am a shocker. I just keep sewing with the same needle on my domestic machine until I can hear it thumping to get through the fabric. I just forget to change it. I am much better with my industrial machine.

Sewing is in my blood. My Mum taught me when I was very young and I have been sewing ever since.
