Hola mi gente!! Feliz día de los Indígenas :)) First of all, my sincerest apologies for disappearing for the last two weeks. I have been processing a lot of changes and I'd love to share more details if you're interested, just let me know in the comments. I have been adjusting to new changes and finding balance with my new schedule and responsibilities- but it is really deeper than that. In short, I have been reflecting on all of the job changes I've been through since 2022 when I left the job I moved to nyc for after some of my closest relationships went sour and I decided to explore entrepreneurship and take some time to take care of my mental health. Since 2022, I hadn't really felt a sense of stability in any area of my life and I had been surviving through a combination of retirment funds from my previous job, selling Spanish classes online and going through a total of 5 different jobs- none of which were a decent fit. Finally, this fall, I was able to land a role at a school where my nervous system genuinely feels regulated, most students seem to really enjoy learning from me, and I have found a sense of work life balance I have never experienced before. I've honestly been in disbelief. I can really experience life like this? It's like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm just truly grateful. I had to just take some time to reflect on my journey and how far I've come and I have to get better at communicating during those moments. So, now the challenge is embracing this new reality and allowing myself to settle into it while continuing to learn new things and keep growing. I am truly grateful and my goal for this week is to get out of my own way, stop making excuses- no matter how convincing they are, allow people to help me, show up, embrace change and learn from failure rather than allow it to cause me shut down. Mi meta esta semana: Estar presente consistentemente = Show up consistently. Esa es la meta mía- that's my goal. Share your goals in the coments and let's continue to encourage and support each other!
