Bruhh forget the piece you're practicing for a second and just play one note. FURREAL. Play one note with your index finger and REALLY listen to it. Is it warm? Is there a click? Is your hand relaxed? Can you play it 5 times and have all 5 sound basically the same? Now do the same thing with your middle finger. Does it sound like your index? Now try your ring finger. This is such a stupidly simple exercise, but if your index, middle and ring fingers all produce noticeably different sounds, those inconsistencies are going to come out when you actually play music. So start with ONE finger. I usually recommend index. Get that thing sounding awesome, and then try to make the other fingers match it. And btw, do this quietly. Don't try to annihilate the string. Get the relaxed movement and good sound first. We can add volume later. Try a few notes right now. How consistent are your fingers? P.S. If you're realizing your right hand needs some serious work, book a call with me here and we can figure out what you should be focusing on.
