Coffee hour time!
Hi guys! Hope you had a great monday up to now! Quick question: Is there a time you would prefer the coffee hour? A lot of different time zones but maybe if you let me know what works best for you i can change time! 😃

Hi from Sri Lanka
Hi everyone, I just joined here and wanted to say "Hi". I'm from Sri Lanka (as you can guess from the title) and happy to be here. Hope to improve my English communication to serve my clients and my own community better.

Thank you for sharing Alex! I think everyone here can relate! Your English is excellent and you absolutely should NOT worry about the perfect word! Nobody is perfect! You know tons of words and the struggle of finding that extra one or that perfect one torments many! Don't let that happen! Communication is key...and you are perfectly able to communicate! Often just showing confidence when speaking (not even using the perfect word) is the best and easiest solution!

@Pradeep Jayatilaka That's a tough question to answer. There really isn't a number because it depends also on how you communicate too. The key is to speak simple and then add new words. 😉 Communication!
🗣️ Small Confession Time
Many confident English speakers still avoid certain words. Not because they don’t know them…but because they’re not sure how they sound. 👇 Be honest: Is there an English word you avoid saying out loud? (No explanations needed — just the word.) You might discover others feel the same 🙂

@Pradeep Jayatilaka Cool!! Here is the phonetics of acne: ækni. Have you ever studied the IPA or know anything about it? If you can read it then you can pronounce any word perfectly!!!
Happy Friday! ☕️🌊
If your English feels “stuck,” it’s usually not your level — it’s your target. Today we go small and consistent ✅ Pick ONE option: 1. Listen to something and write it down (30 seconds max) 2. Read & Record: read a short paragraph of what you wrote or anything else and record it 3. One sound focus: choose TH / R / vowels and do 10 clean reps 🎯 Your mission: comment DONE when you finish + tell me which option you chose. Drop your audio in the comments and I’ll reply with one quick improvement. Let’s finish the week strong — without overthinking it. 💪
Happy Friday! ☕️🌊
