Help! We need a August challenge 😂🥴
Hey everyone! ❤️ Tomorrow is already August (Time Fly’s) which means it’s time for a new community challenge… but I’d love your input! Do you know a fun art challenge we could do together this month? Drop it below 👇🏼 I was also thinking about doing a 30-day drawing challenge using the prompt pack I created. Even if you only have 5–10 minutes a day, drawing is one of the best ways to improve your artistic skills. It never makes your art worse—only stronger. 💪🔥 https://www.skool.com/responsibly-messy-artists-8983/classroom/1334988e?md=fb924b1824624fc496ec986a5579d216 Since many of us are enjoying the holidays, juggling work, traveling, or keeping the kids entertained, I thought a short daily drawing prompt might be the perfect fit. Small, consistent practice can make a huge difference. Summer is a busy season. Don’t forget to take some time for yourself too. ❤️ A few reminders: 🎙️ A new podcast episode is out! You can find it in the Classroom. ☕ Coffee & Art is this Monday at 7:00 PM (Paris time). I’d love to see you there! For more details see the calander. Now tell me… what challenge should we do in August? Or September? I can’t wait to hear your ideas! 🎉 Enjoy the rest of your holiday, everyone! 🌞 (Foto from my exposition in Daglan France. You can still visit it till 2 Aug 🙂)

I also take progression photos to see how it develops. Would like to see other people's process and progress.

@Valérie Van Kraaij I draw my own ideas though so far. Have lots in my head but I will keep your prompts for a rainy day 😉

‼️ Poll Dates are wrong not Aug but July!!! I can not change this is the poll. So it’s about next week not next month. Correct dates: Wed 29 July Fri 31 July Mon 3 aug ✨ Thank you so much, Anne & Sabine! I had such a lovely time painting with you both. It was so nice to simply make art together—without pressure, without expectations, just enjoying the process. For everyone who couldn’t join: our challenge was to grab a magazine and draw faces (and even bodies) from the photos. There was only one rule: It had to be ugly. 😄 Why? Because nothing holds us back more than the fear of messing up. When you give yourself permission to make something “bad,” something wonderful happens. You relax. You experiment. You learn. And, more often than not, your drawings aren’t ugly at all! That’s exactly what Messy Art is about: creating freely, practising without judgement, and remembering that art should be fun. I’d love to make these creative sessions a regular thing. I’m thinking of hosting another one next week, this time at 7:00 pm (Paris time) instead of 8:00 pm. I’d love your input: Which day works best for you? For me, Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings are usually the easiest, but let me know what suits you. Next week’s theme: Pattern Making 🎨 All you’ll need is: - a square piece of paper (square) - a pencil, - an eraser. We’ll create beautiful patterns together from simple shapes—perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. If you joined today’s session, please share your artwork in the comments below. I’d love to see what you made in close-up! Thank you again for making this such a fun and inspiring evening. I can’t wait to do it again. See you next time! ❤️

Sorry I posted mine in the wrong place under the coffee break planning post and now can't get the pics back to post them here. I am an ugly mess. 🫣😭 anyway thanks so much for the great evening Valerie and Ann.
☕ Let’s plan our next Coffee Break
Our last Coffee Break was so much fun. It was wonderful to finally meet some of you, chat about art, share ideas, and simply spend time together. I’d love to make it a regular event—but I’d like to plan it around your schedule. Would 8:00 PM (Paris time) work for you? Or would another time be better? And what day do you prefer? 🗓️ Weekday or weekend? I’d also love to hear what you would enjoy doing during our Coffee Breaks. Should we: 🎨 Paint together? 📚 Follow a short lesson or mini course? 🖌️ Work on our own projects while chatting? ☕ Simply grab a coffee and get to know each other? 💬 Talk about art, creativity, and the challenges we’re facing? ✨ Or something completely different? The goal is to build a friendly community where we can inspire, encourage, and learn from one another. Leave a comment and let me know: • Your country (I’m curious where everyone is joining from!) • Your preferred day • Your preferred time • And what kind of Coffee Break you’d enjoy most. Hopefully we can get an even bigger group together this time. I can’t wait to see you all! ❤️

8pm usually works. It would be more of a wine break for me 🍷😉 I'd be up for all the things but would favour work on projects while chatting

Help Each Other by Engaging on Instagram
Hi there! 😊 As an artist with a small Instagram account, I’ve found it really lovely to have a group of supportive and engaging followers. I’ve even noticed that strangers, mostly other artists, sometimes cheer louder than friends and family 🤪 Personally, my goal right now isn’t to grow a huge following (my profile has actually been private for a while), but I do really enjoy meaningful engagement and supporting others as well 😊 That’s why I’d love to invite you to drop your Instagram (name or link) below so we can follow each other, engage, and support one another 😊🙌 Mine is https://www.instagram.com/lizaglorius.art?igsh=MW5qZWk4eG1xNDlxNA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr
