Phone System
Hey there, we are looking to upgrade our phone systems. Specifically, an option that works well for conferencing 4 or more people. Our current provider, MedTel, does not offer this option. We have also been battling a lot of spam calls. The spam filter MedTel said would help is not. We get at least 10 calls a day about our Google business listing 😵‍💫 We are considering Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing and would love to hear any insights (good or bad) on this option. Please let me know your recommendations. Thanks!

We moved to Zoom Phone from Dialpad last year and have been pretty happy with it. You can conference up to 10 participants/phone numbers in a "standard" conference call, i.e. just hit the add caller button. You can control a good bit of the spam filter settings too, make it more or less aggressive as needed. There's also an option to report/block a number as Spam if it gets through. And, if you're already using Zoom for video conferencing there's an option to elevate a phone call to a video call without dropping the caller - very handy feature. I don't have any personal experience with the M365/Teams Phone system, but from my research it's very similar in capabilities to Zoom Phone. If you're already in the Microsoft ecosystem I would probably just go that route
Jump vs. Zocks vs. GReminders... Which are you using, and Why?
Hi everyone, looking for real-world feedback and details about which notetaker your firm is using and why. We're at a large BD that has these 3 as the only approved options. I've been testing Jump and Zocks off and on for the past 6 months but haven't pulled the trigger yet on either. I had originally been leaning towards Jump due to their Insights, but Zocks seems like the summaries are more thorough, and a UI that makes more sense to me. Zocks also pulls in email content as a meeting prep source and now integrates with Holistiplan too, which is a big win for us. We have a team of 9 advisors, 10 client service associates, and 4 admin. We use Wealthbox, RightCapital, and Holistiplan. Would love to hear your experiences!

@Joe Moss Agreed - I feel like in 2-3 years they will all more or less be ubiquitous and do the same things, connect to the same systems, etc. whereas tools like Slant and Wealthbox native notetakers will be the standouts that can hopefully do more with that native advantage. So I think at that point it'll just be pick whichever "flavor" you like better for a standalone, or use the one that comes with your CRM of choice.
Wealthbox | Project Althea
Attention Wealthbox users - one of my colleagues just shared this with me. Apparently Wealthbox announced this yesterday at Future Proof! If they can actually deliver on all those FAQs and "Yes"es, this would be a gamechanger for our firm! https://www.wealthbox.com/project-althea/
WealthBox Data Sync - Raymond James
Good afternoon, I am a new member of this community and very excited to learn from others. We recently got set up with WealthBox after using the native CRM with Raymond James for the last three years. It has been a net-positive so far except one glaring issue - my custodial client information updates (e.g., new email for client) are noy syncing in WealthBox and I can't get help from either side to figure out if this is an error or a shortcoming of the integration. My question, no matter who your custodian, is when you set up a new client on your custodial platform, does that new client show up as a contact in Wealthbox? And if you have an existing contact in WealthBox and make an update to contact details at your custodian (or your PMT), does that automatically sync overnight into WealthBox? I don't think its a good idea to live in a world where we double enter client data? Thanks in advance for any advice. David

David it sounds like you might be interested in having a data warehousing solution like https://www.dispatch.io/. I have no personal experience with them, but they are 1 of a growing list of vendors in this category tracked on the Kitces FinTech map. From my understanding though, they act as the data management/sync layer so when you make a change in Wealthbox, it syncs over to the custodian and vice-versa. The only custodian that I know of that claims to have a true 2-way sync integration natively with Wealthbox is LPL. Maybe Altruist too?
