What are you seeing with early-stage leads?
Do you think homeowners today prefer to research solar quietly on their own first, or do they still want to speak to someone early in the process? I’m seeing mixed behavior and I’m curious what you’re seeing in the field :)

Honestly, I see this a lot too. Many homeowners step into solar assuming it’s as simple as buying an appliance — they’re shown a system, the numbers look good, and they sign without really understanding what’s behind it. But the truth is, residential PV has become a bit of a maze. You almost need to verify everything: panel manufacturer, inverter durability, roof load limits, wiring quality, even how the installer handles warranties. Most people don’t expect to do that level of checking, so they end up trusting whatever is presented first. From my experience, the gap isn’t interest — it’s awareness. Once homeowners understand the differences in equipment, installation standards, and long-term performance, they make far smarter decisions. The challenge is helping them realize that not all systems are equal, and cutting corners early usually shows up later.”
Tier1
Don´t you have the impression that we are overwhelmed with Tier1 products all over?! Despite of existing Bloomberg definition of Tier1, I have the impression that many of the market players have self-declared their Tier1 status. Somehow similar to star-rating in the hotel industry. On the other hand, it can be that some of the "ordinary" module makers might be even better quality than many Tier1. So the question is: Does "Tier1" have any specific meaning for you? Is that the decision-driver?

“Great point. In the field, I’ve noticed the same thing — ‘Tier 1’ gets used so loosely that it’s almost lost its meaning outside of the Bloomberg definition. For me, Tier 1 has never been the deciding factor. What matters more is long-term performance data, warranty strength, after-sales support, and the manufacturer’s consistency over time. I’ve worked with several so-called ‘ordinary’ module brands that have outperformed big Tier 1 names in real-world conditions. So while Tier 1 can be a useful starting indicator of bankability, it’s definitely not a guarantee of superior quality. Curious to hear how others are evaluating modules beyond the label.”
