After six months in a small village of 200 people with my family, I felt it was time to step back into adventure and reconnect with people. Today I set off hitchhiking to Málaga with just €50 in my pocket. This is not about testing limits, but about exploring what is possible. My experiment is simple. Can I make it the 2 700 km by creating value along the way, whether through Skool, consulting, or the skills I carry with me? Today the road already brought me as far as Prague, and I am curious to see how far connection, creativity, and a bit of courage can take me.

You will easily make it to Malaga, and I am sure you wouldn't even need all the skills and tools you mentioned. This is really amazing, have a great trip and keep us posted!😉
How much time do you actually spend doing the work you love?
To be honest, the last few days before flying to Málaga I’ve been way too active. I was fine-tuning all my Skool communities and improving processes on Genusio (my community marketplace) so it makes sense as a whole and so I can fully focus on finding a Co-tycoon in Q4. Even though my plan was to keep it at 2-3 hours a day, I ended up working 10-12 hours on average. Yesterday it caught up with me. I started the day full of energy but by afternoon I was drained because I managed to squeeze a week’s worth of work into just 4 hours. And of course, I randomly joined a workshop on Cybersecurity on top of that… which pushed me over the limit. After that, I was mentally done.

After having done all that, being so productive and even having participated in a workshop you will have plenty of time to be Nonbusy in Malaga!
Have to vs want to game ♠️♣️♥️♦️
What do you HAVE TO and what do you WANT TO do Today? Share your own self-reflexion with us. I have to take care of a few personal things before my flight to Málaga. I really want to hit the road again, start networking with people offline, and bring them here among us too.

I don't really have to do too much today. However, I did start a new volunteering job recently. Something I wanted to do, but soon turned into having to be present (albeit online) even though there is not much going on. So I have to be present, but I want to focus my time on developing more educational content here on Skool!

@Jakub Pacanda It's a moderation job on a new mental health platform for young adults, providing a space to share experiences and challenges, anything mental health related really. It's a beautiful initiative by eight different organisations and it's a great way to help and give back! So let's say I want to do this, but there's not much going on yet as it still early stages, so having to be present without actually doing anything is hopefully going to change soon, because I do want to give back this way!
Curiosity in Life, to Understand, Evolve, and Succeed
Becoming the best version of yourself, always starts with everything you are curious about. There is so much to learn, so much to deal with in life, but if you don't ask yourself why you do what you do, you might end up doing things just for the sake of doing them. That's exactly what I realised when I was about to graduate from university. It made perfect sense to pursue a career, because that's what you are supposed to do. However, what does that really mean, what we are supposed to do? Isn't that based on a set of beliefs and concepts we like to telll ourselves, without really knowing why? Back in 2019, my curiosity got sparked because of doing research (graduation thesis) on something I didn't know anything about, in order for the outcomes of the research to be applied in an environment I knew even less about. (Summary of the research: Integration of e-Health devices in the Moroccan health care system). This research, including the experience of having to immerse myself in a totally different environment, with a different culture, without properly speaking any of the most common local languages (French, Berber, Arabic) was the very start of curiosity leading the way in life. Before finishing my research, I knew it was a sign, one to not take lightly. Because I finally realised how important it was to live a life based on curiosity in order to become the best version of myself. So instead of pursuing a career, I booked a one-way ticket to India to leave about two weeks after graduating, the best decision ever. Flash forward to 2025, after years of travelling around the world, and having met my partner from Peru in Australia, it is time to turn experiences and lessons learned, from different cultures, environments, and people from all over the world, into valuable support and guidance to a life lived to the fullest. And that's what we are here for! I am very pleased to be part of the Nonbusy community and after having met @Jakub Pacanda in today's networking call, I figured it was time to tell a little bit more about myself as well as the community we (the members and I) are currently building:

That is such a beautiful transformation and powerful view on the injustice in today's world, thank you for sharing @Kristi Comfort!🙏 If I may ask, at what stage in life did you hear or learn about these two lines for them to be so transformative? I am really glad they did, because it's often about timing, if you are reminded of these important messages, at the right time, they click with what it is you need to do!
5 levels of community management mastery
Today I feel like sharing a bit of my knowledge about communities again. Did you know there are 5 levels of community management mastery? Here they are, structured and including the skills and experiences needed to reach each level. At the end of the post, I also give a real example of how the legend of the Community Industry, David Spinks, grew step by step. LVL 1: NOVICE NETWORKER - Enthusiasm and empathy - The art of connecting people LVL 2: COMMUNITY DEVELOPER - Basic strategic thinking - Storytelling and personal magnetism - Creating small groups and events LVL 3: COMMUNITY MANAGER - Budgeting and monetization - Managing a community team - Creating autonomous communities - Collective intelligence analyst LVL 4: COMMUNITY MASTER - Community M&A processes (acquiring competitive communities) - Migrating communities from platform A to platform B - Multi-community management LVL 5: RETIRED COMMUNITY MASTER - 🌀 Experienced at least one socialization burnout - 🌀 Sold at least one community - 🌀 Began to prioritize himself - 🌀 Went through the "want to be alone" process (chose a spiritual retreat, road trip, or embarked on a cleansing journey for self-regeneration) - 🌀 Started helping others clarify if they really want or need a community for their daily life The journey of David Spinks L1: Before 2014, probably various networking L2: January 8, 2014, launch of the FB group CMX Hub L3: 2017, started migrating the community to Slack L4: 2019, sold the community to Bevy.com and served as their VP of Community until March 2022 L5: After leaving Bevy, took a lighter work break (if I remember correctly about 3-6 months) and from 2023 to present runs David Spinks Coaching If you have already started your community journey, which level are you at and what is stopping you from reaching the next milestone?
