Fri - Mar 20. Please Bring Us a Friday Funny!
Yes, I know lots of communities have Friday Funnies, and that's because good ideas get stolen. So isn't it about time to shoot your shot, My Friend?? Share a memory, a joke, a goofy quote. Send us a GIF or a video that cracks you up (Rated G, please)! Laughter beats Chaos, every time... Here, my barn cat Poe looked like he was sailing away in this horse feed bin. I tried to draw a sail, but I wasn't too successful 🙃

Sun - Mar 29. Walkin' and Talkin' to Calm the Chaos
Do you always follow your own advice about clearing your head so you can focus better? Me, either. But I'm practicing what I preach today, My Friend! Taking walking breaks in the park and talking to the trees when my VERY late tax organization makes me want to claw my eyes out. (High drama Chaos management)! How are you taking your own advice to calm the Chaos today?

Good luck with taking small steps to get your tax paperwork ready for the accountant 💜 i will be tackling some of my Diploma work studies today, just a small bite, because its my first kid free day in a few weeks so i want to enjoy just being alone in my own space !

Tues - Mar 24. How Did Tuesday Get Here SO Fast?!
Truly. I think of you all EVERY DAY, even though getting here to post is a bit less frequent. And recent conversations about birthdays have me wondering about your thoughts. My workout friend Jill has a birthday coming up. She is fit and active with a meaningful life. Still, she's feeling sensitive about her birthday, as aging is an uncomfortable subject for her. My childhood friend @Heidi Beckett has a different attitude about birthdays. She celebrates the gray hairs and wrinkles she's been fortunate enough to earn, because she's still here. Perspectives. We all have them. They have roots in our lived experiences and in witnessing the lived experiences of others. And perspectives can shift with new or unexpected information. Let's chat about perspectives in our LIVE Call #10 on Wednesday at 6pm MT, 8pm ET, 6pm PT. See you then! What's a perspective you have held that's been challenged by new information?

I recently met a new friend and he is a widow, his wife passed a couple of years ago, and hearing his story, and how he says 'life is short', has altered my perception on the saying. its one thing for me to say the saying, its another to to have had such loss that the saying really feels true. my past is full of mental health issues and ive had a love/hate relationship with life and existing, but the last few months, things have been shifting inside me to a 'love only' relationship with life. im 46 now and wish id fallen in love with how short and precious life is long ago, but im here now and thats all that matters !! now to learn to calm the other chaos in life !!

Thurs - Mar 26. Can an accountant Calm Your Chaos?
This is a new perspective for me to consider! "Tax Time" which should have been organized and finished for me a while ago, is a BIG source of Chaos for me. No matter what - every year I get tightened up about having to organize my tax info, share it with our accountant (who is a lovely person) and pay the government to make decisions about where my money goes (UGH). So when our newest member @Ted Simmons shared this murky photo of an employment ad for an accountant's office, I had to laugh! A new perspective. Usually, a visit to our accountant (again, lovely person) spins my Chaos. But thinking of that person as a solution to my Chaos was a new possibility. And it make sense. Without a trustworthy accountant, getting through tax time would be impossible for me. So that's my perspective shift for today. And I needed it! What's yours?

Sun - Mar 15. The Ides of March - Knowing when to ask for help!
Hi Friend! What Julius Caesar didn't notice and brushed off on a long-ago March 15th cost him dearly. It appears he was so certain of himself that he didn't listen to dire warnings. I'll let you look that one up, if you'd like. Things aren't quite so dire today, but I'm taking an opportunity to listen to what @Lisa Burke said in her comment on the Mar. 12 post. She is wise indeed to remind herself and all of us that asking for help when we're stuck is a good plan. Immediately upon reading her comment, I was reminded of a book I keep on my nightstand for when I need some gentle, happy thoughts to help me sleep. "The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse" is a sweet reminder to care for ourselves and each other, by artist Charlie Mackesy. I highly recommend it! The Boy asks the Horse when he has been at his strongest, and the Horse tells him it's when he's been brave enough to show weakness. "Asking for help isn't giving up," said the Horse. "It's refusing to give up." I have felt like giving up on technology this week, but I'm going to find solutions, instead. When and how have YOU refused to give up?
