What's the Weirdest Thing Someone Has Ever Asked You at a Market? 🤔😂
One of my favourite things about doing craft markets is that no two days are ever the same. Every market seems to come with at least one conversation that leaves you thinking... Did they really just ask me that? 😄 I've heard questions like: 👉🏼"Did you make all of this yourself?" 👉🏼"Is this real stone?" Or the classic: 👉🏼"What's your best price?" before they've even looked around your booth. Those little moments become the stories we end up telling other vendors because only another vendor truly understands them. So now I'm curious... What's the funniest, strangest, or most memorable question you've ever been asked at a craft market? Let's swap stories. I have a feeling there are going to be some great ones in the comments. 😄

@Debra Verrall despite the odd questions, I'll probably still do markets, if for nothing more than the exposure for my custom work that I hope to start doing by next year.

What's the Best $50 You've Ever Spent on Your Business? 💰
It's easy to think we need to spend hundreds of dollars to improve our business. ⭐Sometimes, though, it's the small purchases that end up making the biggest difference. Maybe it was a better tablecloth. Maybe it was a card reader, a display stand, a label printer, a folding trolley, a lighting setup or even a Canva subscription. For me, I always love hearing about those purchases that make you think, "Why didn't I buy this sooner?" 👉🏼So let's help each other out... What's the best $50 (or less) you've ever spent on your handmade business? Tell us what you bought and why you'd recommend it to another vendor. You never know. Your answer might save someone else a lot of time, money or frustration. ❤️👇

@Lisa Graham there is enough wrong with this place that I can't fix as it is, I'm doing everything I can to NOT add to the list of strikes a home inspector could pick from if we choose to sell in a couple years.

@Lisa Graham oh trust me, with this place I've learned all about hidden nightmares...
Hey! Quick Question...
I'm creating another Premium lesson today but, I have a quick question for you!! 👉🏼Do you have a logo? 👉🏼How did you design it? 👉🏼Did you pay someone to design it? 👉🏼What do you put YOUR logo on? 👉🏼Do you have more than one logo that you use? OK, so I guess it's a little more than a quick question...🤩🤣🥸

@Lisa Graham yes it does, a huge one actually.

@Lisa Graham yes and if creating things is your "job", it's even harder if your "workspace" is within the confines of your "living space". Even with a dedicated "craft room" your off hours can still feel like you're at work.
Good Morning Everyone!!👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
Today, I've only got two chores... 👉🏼Prepare my reed diffuser bottles for pouring (Clean the bottles and apply the vinyl logo & labels) 👉🏼Make more of my 9oz candles. So, I'll be in my basement...avoiding the sun today!! What's on your chore list today?

@Lisa Graham I'm working on a step by step guide on DIY projects. Not sure if I am going to break it down by Garden, Home, and Yard chapters or do each as a separate book. Depends entirely on how many plans I can get drawn up for each.

@Lisa Graham that was actually one of my first thoughts.
Have you ever stopped to think about why you chose the colours for your business?
Not just your logo. I mean everything. 👉🏼Your packaging. 👉🏼Your market signage. 👉🏼Your business cards. 👉🏼Your social media graphics. 👉🏼Even the colours you use on your thank you cards. For a lot of us, the answer is pretty simple. "I liked them." There's nothing wrong with that, but what if your colours are working against you instead of for you? The colours you choose can make your business feel polished or pieced together. They can help people recognise your brand from across a market or make every part of your business feel like it belongs to someone different. Most handmade businesses don't need a complete rebrand. They usually just need a little more intention behind the decisions they're making.⭐ That's exactly what I cover in my newest Premium lesson, Choosing Colours for Your Handmade Business (Part 1). We'll look at how to build a colour palette that works across your logo, packaging, signage and promotional materials, so your business starts to feel more consistent and more recognisable. If you've been enjoying the free classroom and you're ready to take the next step, Premium is just $15/month. You'll unlock this new lesson, along with the rest of the growing Premium classroom, where we dive much deeper into the business side of craft markets. If you're ready to stop guessing and start building your business with more confidence and intention, I'd love to welcome you inside. 💙

I tend to choose my colors based on something called "The psychology of Color". It basically goes into how colors can influence what you want people to see, feel, and do.
