@Chris Skrobarczyk yep, got the frame done and installed... been spending the last few days dealing with the auto dealership on the new mini truck... if all goes well I'll be parking a new 2026 Ford Maverick XLT AWD in the driveway by noon today. I also posted a couple pics of the pit frame... next part is to actually build the firepit then measure for the bottom ash grate...

Current project - Welded firepit base frame
Currently working on a 5x5 foot retaining frame for a cinderblock firepit rebuild. If this works out it'll hold the gravel base material for the firepit and allow me to level the area so the blocks sit properly. Wish me luck, im trash at welding lol

@Chris Skrobarczyk thanks! those helmets are actually the two cheapest i could find on Amazon. they work for what im doing. so far anyways. most of the fancy name brand ones have the same guts in them anyway.

@Chris Skrobarczyk I'm hoping to get my other lights hung today so I have enough light to take some pictures and maybe do a short run thru video. I'm a couple days behind my previously mentioned post that I am supposed to make. Haven't forgotten, just been pulled in to many directions.

❓If you needed something like these hardwood fishing rod racks at your home, would you more likely try to build it yourself or find something like this to purchase? P.S. It doesn't have to be this specific thing. It could be something similar to store and display wine bottles, stemware 🍷, rifles and shotguns 🔫, backpacks 🎒, coats, etc.
