I'm Livid!!
The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project's Humane Division, alongside Animal Control for the City of Warren, OH, and the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department responded to a chained-up dog in distress call at a residence on Central Parkway SE in Warren, OH, in which the dog was pacing frantically in feel like temperatures of 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Upon arrival, the dog was found laying on his side and unresponsive, the dog's internal temperature at the time was OVER 109 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT! The dog had no access to shelter, shade or water and was deemed deceased at the scene. Criminal charges are expected to be filed, pending the completion of an investigation. I can tell them what the sentence should be!

That is horrific and cruel. 😞

Today's Nugget: Your Pet Is Always Rebuilding Did you know your pet's body is constantly repairing and renewing itself? Skin replaces old cells. The intestinal lining continually repairs itself. Blood cells are constantly being renewed. The amazing question isn't whether the body can heal... It's whether it has the nutrients and support it needs to do the job. Every bite of food, every nutrient absorbed, and every healthy microbe in the gut plays a role in helping the body maintain and repair itself. What you feed your pet is so important. Don't always believe the marketing of pet food. Learning doesn't have to cost hundreds. Sometimes a $10 class can save you hundreds in unnecessary expenses, or help you avoid years of frustration by giving you the knowledge to make more informed decisions. Knowledge is one of the best investments you can make for yourself and the pets you love. Question of the Day: What part of your pet's health would you like to understand better? Tell me in the comments! — Professor C. Nugget, Chief Nugget Education Officer (CNEO)

@Dr. Peninah Wood Ph.D 👏👏👏 - definitely coconut oil before you take them out for a walk. Now that my pup is 5 - as soon as I put it on - he will go to his bed, roll in it to get the coconut oil off. Too funny. He cracks me up.😂
