Welcome!
Bienvenue Mikolaj! 👋
I’m really happy to see you joining Entre Profs all the way from Walsall! I saw that you’re learning French yourself and joined out of curiosity, which I love. Even though the community is mainly for teachers and people supporting French learners, I think having the perspective of someone who is actually learning the language can bring something really interesting to the conversations. Please make yourself at home, explore the resources, and feel free to share what helps you learn French, what you find challenging, and what keeps you motivated. And since you’re building your own Skool group around learning French too, I’d also be curious to hear more about what you’re creating. Très contente de t’accueillir parmi nous, Mikolaj! 🍎

Welcome! It's good to have students here as well. Everybody learns differently so having all perspectives in one place is very valuable 🤗
💡 TUESDAY AI TIP — Give AI a Role Before You Give It a Task
One simple way to get better results from AI? 👉 Tell it who it should be before telling it what to do. Instead of writing: ❌ Create a French speaking activity. Try: ✅ You are an experienced Grade 5 French teacher working with mixed-level learners. Create a 10-minute speaking activity about weekend activities. Include support for 🌱 emerging, 🌿 developing and 🌳 confident speakers. Why does this help? When you give AI a clear role, grade level, subject and student needs, it has much more context — which usually means the result is more useful and requires less editing. 🍎 Try this simple prompt formula: You are a [role] working with [grade/level]. Create [task] for students who [needs/context]. Include [specific supports or requirements]. ✨ Example: You are an experienced Grade 6 Core French teacher. Create a partner speaking activity about food for a mixed-level class. Include sentence starters, key vocabulary and three levels of challenge. Small change. Much better prompt. 💡 👇 Have you tried giving AI a role first? What role would you give it for your classroom?

Say hello to @Johanna Vaudran, creator of French Illustrated — a community where French is learned in a fun, visual and immersive way. 👀🇫🇷 Her community uses the Eiffel Tower Method and focuses on making French learning engaging, accessible and enjoyable through complete immersion. I’m especially happy to welcome Johanna because we’re both working in the French education space, and I think there could be some lovely opportunities for us to exchange ideas and perhaps collaborate in the future. 🍎🤝 Johanna, feel free to introduce yourself, tell us a little more about French Illustrated, and share what inspired you to create it. So happy to have you here - bienvenue à Entre Profs! 😊💙
