💬 Thursday — Entre Profs en discussion
This week’s question: How do you protect your work-life balance when teaching, building projects, and managing everything else life brings? Is there one habit, boundary, or small change that helps you switch off, recharge, or make more time for yourself? Share what works for you — or what you’re still trying to figure out. 🌱 One question, many perspectives. Let’s learn from each other. 🍎

📚 La ressource du mercredi
📚 La ressource du mercredi Here’s a ready-to-use “Trouve quelqu’un qui…” / “Find Someone Who…” speaking activity for Grade 5 French! 🇫🇷🍎 It’s a simple and fun way to get students moving, asking questions, and speaking French with classmates right from the start. You can use it as: ✨ a first-week icebreaker ✨ a speaking activity ✨ a partner interview task ✨ an easy oral language warm-up The resource includes an English version and a French version. 👇 Would you use this in your classroom? If you’d like, I can also make a differentiated version next! 🌱🌿🌳

@Stephanie Tpl Absolutely! ❤️ Speaking is where the language really comes alive. Having a partner makes such a difference — it builds confidence, encourages spontaneous French, and takes away some of the pressure to be “perfect.

@Rosalien Rutten Absolutely! ❤️ I love that — practice buddies, little kids, humour and laughter can make such a difference. When we take away the fear of making mistakes, speaking starts to feel much more natural and enjoyable. 🇫🇷✨ Creating that safe, playful space is such an important part of language learning. 🍎
🍎 A NEW WEEKLY RHYTHM STARTS TODAY AT ENTRE PROFS! ❤️
Starting today, Entre Profs is moving into a simple weekly rhythm designed to make our community easier to follow, more useful, and more connected. 🌿 Each day will have its own little focus, so you’ll always know what to expect: 🌟 Monday — Le thème de la semaine A classroom theme or teaching focus to guide us through the week. 💡 Tuesday — Le petit truc du mardi One quick, practical strategy you can try right away. 📚 Wednesday — La ressource du mercredi A ready-to-use French resource, activity, printable, or classroom idea. 💬 Thursday — Entre Profs en discussion A question or conversation where we can exchange ideas, experiences, and inspiration. 🎉 Friday — Nos petites victoires A moment to celebrate what worked this week — because the small wins matter too! ❤️ 🌿 Sunday — Sunday Grace | Un petit moment pour soi A gentle moment to reflect, feel grateful, and reset before another week begins. My goal is simple: to make Entre Profs 🍎 a place where French teachers and parents can find practical support, fresh ideas, useful resources, and encouragement — without feeling overwhelmed or having to figure everything out alone. I’m so excited to begin this new rhythm with you today! 🥰🍎 👇 Which day are you most excited about?

@Rosalien Rutten What a beautiful way to start the week! ✨❤️
🍎🌟 Monday — Le thème de la semaine
🍎 Getting Students Speaking from the Very First Days 🌟 One of the most important things we can do at the beginning of the year is help students feel comfortable using French right away — even if it’s just a few words or simple sentence starters. Students do not need perfect French before they begin speaking. They need encouragement, structure, and safe opportunities to try. ❤️ This week’s theme in Entre Profs is: 🌟 Getting Students Speaking from the Very First Days A few simple ways to build confidence: - use sentence stems and model phrases - start with partner talk before sharing with the whole class - repeat short oral routines daily - celebrate effort, not perfection 🎁 Free Poster for You! To go with this week’s theme, I made a free poster with useful French speaking prompts that you can use in class right away. It’s designed to help students begin speaking about: - introducing themselves - talking about their likes - sharing simple ideas and experiences You can use it as: - a classroom poster - a speaking support during partner activities - a visual reference for beginning-of-year oral routines My hope is that this helps students see that they can speak French from the very beginning — one small step at a time. 🍎
