Not really sure where the best place is to share this, but I really wanted to share my experience and thoughts on Etsy Success and Jodi. After being on Etsy for about eight months, I can honestly say I’ve watched countless YouTube and TikTok videos trying to figure everything out. I’ve done so many things wrong and even with sales early on, I made very little profit because I was completely overwhelmed with all the different advice, tips, and opinions. I first came across Jodi through her live videos on social media, and I’m so glad I took the time to tune in. Right away, she felt different from anyone else I had come across. She genuinely seemed invested in helping people, not just selling a program. She takes the time to answer questions, speak to people directly, and create a space where you feel supported and encouraged. This is everything I have been looking for. Joining Etsy Success has honestly made me excited about Etsy again. In less than two weeks, I’ve already learned so much about Etsy strategy, titles, listings, branding, photos, and SEO. I was especially impressed that Jodi actually took the time to look through my Etsy shop personally and give suggestions on things I could improve. What I also love is the community itself. It’s open, supportive, and full of people willing to share ideas and experiences. No question feels silly and I feel comfortable asking advice on everything I have been stuck on. Whether you’re brand new to Etsy or have been selling for years, I truly believe there’s something valuable to learn from Jodi and Etsy Success. If you are new or still working towards consistent sales then I highly recommend charging for shipping and here's why... When you offer free shipping, it seems like on the surface that it's a benefit to the customer, but you have to incorporate that shipping charge into your price. When you do this as a new seller with little to no reviews and sales, you show up as a higher price than your top competitors and this is the exact opposite of what you want. As a new seller you are trying to increase your shop ranking to be shown more and every sale you get helps. When your price is higher, you lose sales as customers are always going to choose the competitor with lower prices and tons of sales and reviews, and your conversion rate is something that Etsy takes into account. Truthfully, customers on Etsy do not mind paying for shipping and in almost 7 years, I have never had anyone complain and in fact I have had many times where a buyer from another country purchases something and the shipping actually costs more than the product itself. Thoughts??
