This $0.20 trick is a great way to jumpstart a listing that has stalled
If you have listings that were getting views, favorites, or sales but have slowed way down — manually renewing them can give them a small freshness boost in the algorithm and get them back in front of buyers. Here's how to think about it: - Do renew listings that had traction — views, favorites, or sales — but have gone quiet lately. These already proved they had something buyers wanted. - Don't renew listings that were dead from the start. If it never got views or clicks, renewing it won't fix the real problem — which is usually the title, photos, or keywords. - Don't overdo it either. Renewing too frequently can actually work against you. Think of it as a reset, not a daily habit. Once every few weeks on a struggling listing is plenty. The goal is to get a proven product back in the rotation — not to trick the algorithm over and over with a listing that was never set up to convert. If something had momentum 60-90 days ago and has gone cold, it might just need a small push. Has anyone tried this?

How The Top Sellers Write Their Tags To Get More Sales
What To Do: - Think of your tags as another way to say the same thing as in the title, for instance, if your title says " Personalized Dog Mom Mug For Her, then your tags should include things like dog lover, canine mom gift, etc... - Always use all 13 tags as each one left blank is a missed sale opportunity and use long tail keywords (3 or more words). The more specifically targeted to your product the better. - If a keyword phrase is over 20 characters, split it in to two tags. The algorithm can put them together. - There is always some debate on this, but I put my most targeted keyword phrase (the one that is in the front of my title) in my tags as well. What Not To Do: - Never use your shop name as a tag unless you have a shop that is a name brand that people are searching for. - Never add a tag unless you have validated that there are customers using this exact phrase each month (Use a good keyword tool like Everbee.com) - Never trust AI for the tags. If you want to use it as a starting point you can, but it doesn't get used unless you validate it with a keyword tool... even if other competitors are using it.

@Susan Gebbia Susan, great question... no, in fact it should be a mix. Remember the algorithm can mix and match, so for instance wall art printable has over 2 million competitors, but when you, mix that with watercolor tulip it significantly reduces the competition. Does that make sense?

It is very confusing and using single words so you didn't repeat was going around for a while as being the best way to do it, however after testing it with a ton of people, myself included, it really doesn't work. One thing to note is that in your title, you want to try not to repeat words and never more than 3 times, but in your tags if it is a long tail keyword phrase it is totally ok.

Etsy Success
Not really sure where the best place is to share this, but I really wanted to share my experience and thoughts on Etsy Success and Jodi. After being on Etsy for about eight months, I can honestly say I’ve watched countless YouTube and TikTok videos trying to figure everything out. I’ve done so many things wrong and even with sales early on, I made very little profit because I was completely overwhelmed with all the different advice, tips, and opinions. I first came across Jodi through her live videos on social media, and I’m so glad I took the time to tune in. Right away, she felt different from anyone else I had come across. She genuinely seemed invested in helping people, not just selling a program. She takes the time to answer questions, speak to people directly, and create a space where you feel supported and encouraged. This is everything I have been looking for. Joining Etsy Success has honestly made me excited about Etsy again. In less than two weeks, I’ve already learned so much about Etsy strategy, titles, listings, branding, photos, and SEO. I was especially impressed that Jodi actually took the time to look through my Etsy shop personally and give suggestions on things I could improve. What I also love is the community itself. It’s open, supportive, and full of people willing to share ideas and experiences. No question feels silly and I feel comfortable asking advice on everything I have been stuck on. Whether you’re brand new to Etsy or have been selling for years, I truly believe there’s something valuable to learn from Jodi and Etsy Success. I’m so thankful I found this community and excited to see where it takes my business. Highly recommend. Five-star experience all the way. Thank you, Jodi.
