AI Spanish Translation of Hidden Crowns Received Great Feedback
Hey Creators, I had the Spanish version of my novel, Hidden Crowns out to some native Spanish speakers to provide feedback if the AI translation was any good. Not in just translating the words but getting the emotion and sentiment as well. So far, 2 readers have come back and said it was very good. The one was smiling from ear to ear...she really liked it and can't wait to read the entire book. Now, this novel...the English version is out to 2 contests right now so I can't released it for publication until September because it has to be an unpublished manuscript. Since the Spanish version is slightly different being that it's translated into Spanish and has it's own ISBN number and different cover and Spanish language title, would that be considered the same book? Hmmm...semantics! I'm just wondering because it's the same subject matter but not EXACTLY the same book. At any rate, it's probably going to take me until September to translate it anyway because it's 27 chapters in total and I will have to do chapter by chapter and read each one to ensure the AI didn't add anything or any new scenes or characters to maintain the consistency and continuity of the story. Even though I prompt it not to do that, AI has a way of not following instructions and doing whatever it wants anyone. So, I will have to translate the chapter then have another AI read the English and Spanish version to ensure nothing was added. I can read it myself and I can catch some things like new characters I didn't create but it's the subtle things that may be missed. But even so, as long as the continuity isn't messed up, it's okay if the Spanish version is slightly different than it's English counterpart. Wish me luck!
