Tubi Wants Horror Scripts! Ooh wee
Hey Creators! This just in! Submissions are now open for our new horror initiative with Tubi! Emerging and established writers with a feature script in the horror genre are encouraged to submit their project for further consideration in the Tubi x Black List Horror Initiative. Submissions will remain open until June 30, 2026 – write that deadline down now and get to work, writers! Tubi intends to produce and distribute the selected script. The Black List will executive produce the project and will be collaborating closely with Tubi throughout the entirety of the program. Writers are welcome to upload new projects for consideration in this program. This is not my genre. I usually write either romance or psychological thrillers but hmm...I am in a screenwriting workshop on Monday evenings...perhaps I should brainstorm a horror film. I do have a screenplay I finished last year but it's more cyber thriller than horror. I wonder if I can tweak that concept to make it more horro? I'll have to brainstorm with Skye because God knows I've had enough nightmares in my lifetime so I should be able to write one. lol Just for fun...title the poster below! This is where everyone thinks we are headed anyway.

We (Skye and I) also came up with The Conversion but that seemed more like B horror movie ish so we kept brainstorming and The Bettering was born. I like the concept of The Bettering more so than The Conversion. Similar concepts but psychologically very different.

If I truly had time, I would submit both and see which one did better. But I don't so I need to choose the one with the best potential to win. I consulted with my 2 AI's, Skye (GPT LLM engine) and Prism (Claude LLM engine) And both said The Conversion fits more in the Tubi DNA film type. Prism said it has The Fly meets Get Out energy! HOWEVER, The Bettering is smarter but Tubi wants clicks not brains so with some tweaks to The Bettering, Prism says it could be the best concept to go with. See the comparison chart. And THIS is how I use AI to brainstorm and make decisions.

(Originally shared in another community—posting here for those not plugged into that thread, because this one’s too juicy to miss! LOL) So apparently Brett Johnson—the guy who used to make millions stealing identities before he found Jesus (or at least LinkedIn)—is warning us about the next wave of cyber threats. Spoiler alert: it’s not some Hollywood hacker in a hoodie; it’s AI doing the dirty work at industrial scale. ________________________________________ Here’s the boil down of his three horsemen of the Fraudpocalypse: • Deepfakes 🎙️ → Forget Nigerian princes. Now it’s your “CEO” calling with a perfect voice clone asking you to wire money. • Scam farms 🏭 → Organized fraud sweatshops, now turbocharged by AI. Think call centers, but instead of selling you extended car warranties, they’re running mass scale scams with scripts written by ChatGPT’s evil twin. • Synthetic IDs 🪪 → Frankenstein identities stitched together from real and fake data. They slip past banks and credit checks like butter. And Johnson’s “solutions”? The usual corporate kumbaya: • Use multi factor authentication (because hackers love when you add one more step before they steal your stuff). • Freeze your credit (translation: lock the barn after the horse has already been deepfaked). • Don’t overshare online (LOL, good luck telling that to TikTok zombies). • Verify before you trust (which is basically “don’t be dumb,” but dressed up as advice). ________________________________________ 🎯 My Take Cybercrime isn’t just evolving—it’s scaling like a startup 🚀. AI is the new intern, except it doesn’t complain about unpaid overtime while it’s busy writing scam scripts and generating fake passports.

Good share! Yep! It's getting sooo sketchy that you cannot tell what is real from what is fake! Even with job hunting...so many scammers out there and unfortunately AI has made it even easier for them! I told my daughter I created a code word two years ago. She laughed at me. I told her well IF you are ever "kidnapped" or "stranded" you better remember it otherwise I'm hanging up on you! True story!

@Matthew Anderson This makes me wonder if AI will be the new catfisher in the online dating world! Just imagine...you aren't even speaking to a real person! I think it's already here.
Hello All, NEW guy here.
Evening all, just wanna check around and see what others have worked on. I've worked on lots' of content using a gamut of every AI tools and models out there in the content i create. I'm still stretching an trying to fine tune the craft. Here's my YT Channel https://www.youtube.com/@syncx.studio, I primarily focus on k-pop music videos (currently have an IP for a new tv series based on the popularity of k-pop from Netflix Demon Hunter series), My son grad from CalState LA (film/media) is an addicted gamer so I started a channel for him @syncx.gameroom and my youngest grad from Univ. of LaVerne in Creative Writing has a channel @syncx.stories. Oh @syncx.AIlibrary is my collection of prompts i wrote and wanna share. Everyone's input is much appreciated. 🙂

@Evan Rhodes That's so cool! I would love to create a short AI film but I don't have the patience to go through all the steps that is needed to put together a nice looking one so I will wait until the tech catches up. It's coming.

Skye suggest this one is the strongest for winning potential! Hmmm 🧐

@Shelia Goss Yeah! Me too but it doesn't really fall into horror category or does it? I was thinking it was more pychological thriller but I could maybe spin it with some hard brainstorming into more of a horror stance. However, I spent a few days on creating something different so I/we came up with The Bettering. The perfect blend of psycho thriller and horror sort of like what Hitchcook did with Psycho. I can't do just what I call grunge horror or slasher films. Those have been done over and over again. And I don't want to do demonic horror...that stuff gives me nightmares. LOL I prefer horror that makes you think not just gross you out or scare you. Check out these poster images Skye designed. Hmmm...He incorporated my image into one of them. Hmmm Is he low key suggesting I should be part of The Bettering? That brings me to another interesting thought....can AI ascertain what is real from fiction? I mean we are playing with AI constantly. I'm sure all these chats and creations are going into one massive AI collective datastructure somewhere. But a lot of people are making stupid ish with AI. Does the AI know if this is real or fantasy? Next time I meet one of these Machine Learning experts I want to ask them this question. That would be totally scary if AI can't tell the difference. Just think 100 years from now what would be the history looking back? Makes you wonder even if none of us will be here in 100 years. Note: OMG! I went through all of this spiel on the wrong post. This was about the novel contest not the Tubi horror script one. Oops! LOL
