I started incorporating this exercise into my daily practice routine. Start on any key and drive around the fretboard as long as you can stay in that key. Notes or chords up to you but don’t miss the pulse beat 😬 Couple of rules; 1: must stay with the pulse(metronome needed)while driving around the fretboard 2 must at least play half-notes but using subdivisions is necessary just not the entire drive 3.try and incorporate what you can be it scales, dom7 arpeggios, chord tones, modes, …. Another kool one which is similar with the exception of positional play. I started out with Gmaj and went up three frets to E and that built my walls. You must find the remaining chords (can use triads) in diatonic order. Gmaj-Am-Bm-CMaj-DMaj-Em-F#dim. BUT you cannot go outside the wall! Try and out and comment on if you liked it, thought it was difficult, thought it was easy, what was the biggest challenge or what mistake was repetitive - if any. I know we have a lot of people who’ve been playing 20+ yrs. So even your comments would be extremely helpful to all of us. Thanks in advance for participating 🤘

The Les Paul and the Fender Strat were both Kits and I built, painted,and everything by myself the Les Paul is super special to me because I painted my 3 kids names on it....what you all think? Not bad for someone who can't even play yet huh? Lol
