This Is All New To Me!
I'm a 64 yr old life-long noodler who is searching for any easy, step by step learning process to learn how to actually play. Being a bit older these days I seem to learn better with a simpler, slower method of "show me what to do" type learning. Kind of a take me by the hand and walk me through things slowly kind of approach. I suspect I will catch on after a while.. how long that will take is anybody's guess... but I truly want to learn how to play so I can impress my wife and friends! Any and all help will be extremely appreciated!

Hey @Collin Kirkpatrick , Sorry I didn’t see this earlier, but Skool has a way of pushing posts down the list. I would love to see a video of what you’re currently working on. Congrats on joining us and letting us become a part of your guitar journey.
Alright fellow singers, I need to confess something… 😅
Have you ever tried hitting a note so high that you’re not sure if it’s music or just a warning signal for nearby humans and pets? I swear, last week I tried a high note during practice, and my cat looked at me like I had lost my mind . My neighbor probably thinks I’m starting a one-person band of screaming opera singers. And honestly, we’ve all been there those moments where we’re giving it our all, feeling like Beyoncé for 0.5 seconds, and then… total disaster. Maybe the note cracks, maybe we squeak, maybe something even falls off the shelf . So here’s my question to you: what’s your funniest or most embarrassing singing fail? Let’s be honest and laugh together. I promise, no judgment just good vibes and shared struggles Drop your stories below.

Hey @Adex Felicia I’ve noticed that you’ve been posting mainly about vocals and singing. While your input is valuable, this is primarily a Guitar-related community. So please limit your posts, questions, and comments to this topic. Thank you.

Sounds very good. Love those old country songs from Tracey, Joe Diffie, and my all-time favorite, Garth Brooks (like that GB signature Takamine you’re playing). I would encourage you to incorporate some minor 7th chords where possible for a different feel. Em7 and Am7 to start with for this song. Very easy to play.
stuck
Thing about joining GuitarZoom Premium but not sure. I play pretty well, know my pentatonics really well and diatonics. Triad are comfortable, but I seem to play the same thing over and over. I've signed up for other courses but, they seem to be so basic. Every course say "break out of the box". I'm not stuck in a box, I can play the whole neck. I'm stuck in repeating the same patterns and ideas. Long first post. Thanks
