Good morning!
It’s hot and humid today, so I chose shorts. I know I’m new to the group, but don’t see anyone posting dressed in them. Are shorts generally frowned upon? How do you manage southern heat and humidity?
Good morning!

@Gunny Khan thanks brother. Now I have to look into seersucker. Is that a brand or type of clothing?
Definitely a win but much more!
Hitting Level 8 in this community isn’t just about the number—it’s about consistency, showing up, and putting in the work. For me, style has always carried deeper meaning. My father’s 1954 class ring, the vintage watches from my wife, my championship rings, and my shoes that carry a story—these aren’t just accessories, they’re reminders of legacy, discipline, and respect. What I’ve valued most here are the solid interactions and straight-shooting discussions. Whether it’s sharing patina work on Allen Edmonds with Jeffrey, weighing in on controversial trends, or learning from others’ perspectives, this community has been about more than clothes—it’s about sharpening the man wearing them. Proof that consistency and contribution always pays off in every aspect of life. My advice: stay engaged, keep asking, keep sharing, and keep pushing forward. Because the real win isn’t the level—it’s the man you become on the climb. Passion Purpose Presence

Congrats brother. I hope this is a consistency I can keep in my life
Don’t Sell yourself short
Gentlemen, I want to share something with you. For the longest I had low self esteem which now looking back was why I had that non caring and not caring what others thought about me because I did not think much about myself. Thus led to the stepping away of the values that my parents and grandparents instilled in me, that opened that door for the world to tell me what they wanted me to be. I know now that this mindset hindered me in so many aspects of my life. It cost me jobs, promotions, relationships, business growth, and all of my own volition. Do not sell yourself short because that is how the world, and people around you will respond. The way people treat you is a reflection of how they see you. The way you let them treat you is a reflection of how you see yourself. You were not created to be a doormat for people, society, and the world to step on and clean their feet on. Create and be the best version of you and not a duplicate of others.

I couldn’t agree more. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. When we forget our worth, it’s often because we are measuring ourselves by other people’s opinions.
1st time dressing for home
I went out and got a few pants and shirts yesterday. I have no where to go and plan on staying home today, but I want to start dressing in something other than basketball shorts and graphic T’s. Any opinions or advice on my first outfit would be appreciated.

I've invested in my first swiss made watch. This is the Tissot Seastar 1000. I'm very happy with this purchase it looks really good and has nice weight to it.
