Authors, I have a question.
If you could go back to the day you published your very first book, what's the one piece of advice you would give yourself? Mine would be: Start marketing earlier and connect with more readers before launch. I'd love to hear your answer. What's the one thing you wish you had known from the beginning?

I think i 'knew' this but.... I would have just published before it was 'perfect'. It was a niche topic and my desire to make the BEST book had me coming in to the topic 4 months too late...

Hey Fam, You spoke and I listened! A topic that seems to be repeating itself is that reviews are becoming harder and harder to receive and maintain. For the last 6 months I have been trialing a new platform and the results are EPIC!! I will be adding all the details in a short video in the classroom! Watch this space... Kat Xx

@Kat Burgess I struggle with the pressure of everything outside right now. It has felt like the book business is a "side" vs a "immediate". I remember the 3 things time block and found it useful when I was still "in it". But I feel I've fallen so far out of the business now, that I don't even see how it fits in my schedule at all. I have to get back to when it was non-negotiable, and the time I had on my calendar for books was sacred for that part of my life. Now, what is happening is that I may time block it, but then something else comes up that feels high priority to be done NOW, so I push aside the books.
