Authors, I have a question.
If you could go back to the day you published your very first book, what's the one piece of advice you would give yourself? Mine would be: Start marketing earlier and connect with more readers before launch. I'd love to hear your answer. What's the one thing you wish you had known from the beginning?

That's a great lesson. Perfection can sometimes delay progress, especially with niche topics where timing matters. Looking back, do you think publishing those 4 months earlier would have made a significant difference in reaching readers?

That's such valuable advice. Success in publishing really does take patience and consistency. Thanks for sharing your experience!
One thing I’ve been learning as an author is that publishing a book is only the beginning, not the finish line.
A lot of the real growth comes after release: how we show up, how we connect with readers, and how consistently we share our journey, not just our books. I used to think writing the book was the hardest part, but building visibility and relationships has been just as important. What’s one thing you wish you had known earlier about being an author?

BOOK REVIEWS WITH BOOK REVERB!!
BookReverb connects your book with real readers who choose to read because they want to. You don’t have to trade favors, chase down friends, or worry about fake 1-star reviews from other publishers. Just upload your book, set your budget, and get thoughtful, authentic reviews that help you grow as an author, all without pressure or awkward outreach. If you’re looking for honest feedback from actual readers, not competitors, this is the best platform I’ve used. https://www.bookreverb.com/register?invitesource=apareviews

Thanks for sharing! Authentic reviews can make such a big difference, especially for indie authors trying to build credibility.
BookBolt?
Does anyone use BookBolt anymore? I've been dabbling with it... but with so many app subscriptions to choose from, I need to rationalise! Just wondering what others' thoughts on this one are...?

I’ve seen mixed opinions on BookBolt too, so I think it really comes down to how much you’re actually using it in your workflow. Are you mainly using it for low-content research or full book creation?

@Sonya Matthews That makes sense. If a tool isn't saving you time or making the process easier, it's hard to justify the subscription. Since you enjoy creating low-content books, have you found another tool that works better for you?
Huge thanks to Kat Burgess
Hi everyone I wanted to share a win with you all!! I am in the process of publishing an 18-book series - Healing with Hypnosis: A Read-And-Record Guide to Self-Therapy. Amazon (being Amazon) decided that two of my books in the series were not going to provide customers with a good experience. I asked them to provide me with a reason for where in the terms and conditions this was shown. A huge thank you to @Kat Burgess for keeping emailing. Both books are now available on Amazon!!
